Both are pretty bad but Gase refused to accept any blame until it was too late. Darnold had to cover up for his ass every single week.

I think Gase was a combo of out of his depth and arrogant. He lucked into Manning as his QB for one season and rode that to millions in paydays. Fizdale, he didn't seem to have any coherent understanding of and/or ability to teach basketball. He was a poser who liked to talk the talk and live the life but he's no coach. Coin flip.

Kinda adds perspective to KP's decision to jump ship.

Hornacek- at least Fiz was a good conman/ motivational speaker, so you understood how he fooled Mills and Perry- Hornacek had no qualities whatsoever, other than he was willing to be Phil's lapdog

KP had been planning to leave since his second season. From what I heard his personality changed he let fame get to his head and acted like a total lunatic diva being a jerk to everyone not just Phil. I heard he parked his car in the handicap spot on purpose at the practice facility, was rude to low level staff and said FU to Jeff Hornacek to his face at practice for no reason

As bad as Fizz was he had no effect on that

Gase is not only a lousy head coach he’s a toxic leader. Players hated playing for him not just here but in Miami as well. Look at every offensive player that has gotten away from Gase especially Ryan Tannehill and Kenyan Drake

Fiz was a lousy head coach. Definitely worst in knick history which says a lot. I wouldn’t call him toxic but he had a very negative vibe to him.

I think Natasha is hotter than Abby, so I'll give Fiz the edge Joking aside, I think Hornacek showed a lot more in Phoenix and NY than Fiz did in Memphis and NY. Horny was a Coach of the Year candidate. I'd be appalled if I knew Fiz was even allowed to have a vote for the Coach of the Year award.

But Fiz is still coaching the Knicks...unbelievable

Fizdale at least had a player's coach mentality and was likable. Gase was both a bad coach and not liked by his players.
