Nothing against TAJ, but i thought a stretch big would have been more suitable.

Hopefully Taj has been working on his corner 3's, that would be so beneficial

I was hoping for an all star myself... who did you have in mind?

No it means we now have a vet 3rd string C and PF that can cover injured players

As a third string center he is absolutely perfect. And spellman obviously had to go if they had no other option and they still wouldn’t use him. I liked the idea of him as a stretch big, but clearly he didn’t show up in good shape.

Spellman has real talent but he has got to get himself in better shape if he wants to stay in the NBA. I was disappointed in the way he looked in preseason. He looked at least 10-15 lbs too heavy.

For me, part of being a professional and a required skill is being in top shape.

It’s really a disgrace to everyone when you are not

Absolutely love this. Had a solid season and will be another great familiar locker room presence. Hopefully He can take Randle’s mins down to 35 until Toppin gets back.

I guess that would make sense. I heard they were considering bringing back Tyson Chandler and he would have been my first choice. We would've had a rim protector on the court at all time between the 3 centers. I gotta get used to this all 3pt shooters all the time way of basketball.

No, what you are going to see once OBI gets healthy is a lot of Ju at the 5 and OBI at the 4.

I notice against ATL the other day (during the come back) that when knox played the 4 and Ju played the 5 the spacing was so good. Knox banged in 2 baseline 3's during that run

I think the goal is to turn Obi into a stretch big in this system

Gotta have an old school vet who can help mitch and coach thigs. Hes like having a floor coach who understands what thibbs wants from his center / bigs.
