I'd trade them Noel for the rest of their second round picks.

Word is Kyrie wants out. Does not like Nash. Big surprise. Wonder what it will take and who will make an offer.

Never thought of the Knicks. No way he would want to come here. Especially now that Nets seem to have a good chance of winning the east.
Feel the Nets will need a PG and we know we have none of those.
“Furious with coach hiring”? Did he make Bugs Bunny suggestion and team ignored him?
All kidding aside, Ill reserve judgement until some of this is more mainstream and not bite on Tommy Dee.
There is Kyrie smoke and likely a fire but its so weird to read all this its hard to believe.
Do I trade for him? My conditions are its a dump. First I get him, his agent, and his father in a room with a blood oath of devotion and a contractual caveat that he goes off, contract is null. IF that don’t pass union then hang up the phone.
That he understands Thibs and we suck.
What price to we pay to get him? As little as possible. Not even worth the finger strokes really to even begin.
We put up with JR smith, we can deal with this.
WE put up with Spree, we can deal with this.
Do I want to? Not really. But the kid is really good.
What happens to the young minds of this team if this clown came?

Not just him, but I bring in Rondo and KLove too! Put Marv on retainer and lets go get a chip!
Young minds will melt with Kyrie!

We'll need something if Trump is leaving....
Say what? And I thought we had the pettiest owner.
Report: Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta was adamant about not trading James Harden to 76ershttps://nba.nbcsports.com/2021/01/14/rep...Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports:"After that, I was told that Tilman Fertitta – the Houston Rockets owner – he was just adamant that they not make a deal with Philly, obviously with Daryl Morey being the GM over there now."

Can’t say I blame him. You deal with Morey you lose.
I admire his tenure with the rockets. No, they did not win a chip but came close and I thought he created a very interesting team who competed for a very long time.

They were talking Ben Simmons, solid prospects and picks. I know Brooklyn bent over, but I'm disappointed if I'm a Houston fan and this reports true.
If Kyrie truly wants out and can be had just for DSJr plus one of the Dallas picks, I would love to do it. Might end up in a total disaster, but at least it will be fun and we would not hurt our core buildup.
And why not? Is there another team in the NBA ready to take on such a headcase?

The nets giving Irving for basically nothing to the Knicks would kill their ego.
As talented as he is individually, he's not a player to build your team around. Plus, let's not forget that he is a moron and a diva. A very bad combination.
You give up Irving for basically nothing (just a first round pick) if you think he is a team cancer that must be shipped out pronto. I do not preclude that his disappearance might have been a reaction to the Nets potentially adding Harden. So the Nets might have no choice but to trade him for the best offer, any offer.
So the question is: what team, other than the Knicks, might want to take a flyer on Kyrie and offer more than a decent player and a first round pick?
He is a moron and a diva, but what if he has an epiphany moment when he joins the Knicks? We turned Spree around, might get lucky with Kyrie too.

ROFL, called it like yesterday on previous page.
There is no consistent reporting on Kyrie, just conjecture.
IF He really wants to play ball is there really that bad a situation in BKN? These guys practiced together in LA and rumored to have talked it over. Logically Harden coming should not be the issue.
Really, he is stewing because he was not consulted about Nash? Seems a bit rash. Even for Kyrie.
WE can all guess. Mine is he is crushed by the events that are stressing us out. Covid, Civil unrest and social injustice. Maybe the weight of that disables him to play basketball. Many are finding it hard to do their jobs and his has covid related issues.
Does this mean he is a bad/selfish person? Is not like my tax dollars are paying for him so why do I give a fuck?
Let’s this straight, when Jordan returned from his baseball exile or what ever you call it was largely because Bulls had retooled and they could pay him 30mil a year. This was 25 years ago btw, a lot of money. Nobody else could come close to paying that. I think the figure was 16mm if he went to another team.
There seems no love that Jordan has demonstrated to the bulls, their owner, or the city. That Lebron used self empowerment to drive his career seems to get a lot of hate from NBA fans. Not that Jordan was evil. Its just not as pure as sold.
What Lebron has demonstrated was a need to win. Money is there either way but he has moved and now won at each stop. He does not love an owner, a city, or its fans more than his desire to win.
Durant is vilified for this.
Harden is vilified for this.
Jordan came back for the wiz because he was given the opportunity to run them and maybe buy them. He got such a sweet deal for the Hornets it was incredible!
Regarding Kyrie, my guess is he sees his shrink and plays ball with his super friends. Maybe we find out what really happend.
He's AWOL over Steve Nash and we're going to give him to Thibs??? Really?
Pass. Please God, Pass. Let him run for Congress. Nalod can be his campaign manager/spin doctor.

People who have been living paycheck to paycheck, trying to put kids through school, keep up with mortgage payments, had deaths in the family - yeah, they are finding it hard. Kyrie? Not so much, I would think.
He is definitely a clown and a headcase. Still, for a knockdown price of a DSJr + Dallas's first rounder I would like to see him on the Knicks. He is still young, can flat out play ball and fills our most glaring needs in terms of shooting and PG play. There is a good chance this might turn into a complete circus, but as long as we do not give up too many assets for him, I think we can afford to give it a try.
