People who have been living paycheck to paycheck, trying to put kids through school, keep up with mortgage payments, had deaths in the family - yeah, they are finding it hard. Kyrie? Not so much, I would think.
He is definitely a clown and a headcase. Still, for a knockdown price of a DSJr + Dallas's first rounder I would like to see him on the Knicks. He is still young, can flat out play ball and fills our most glaring needs in terms of shooting and PG play. There is a good chance this might turn into a complete circus, but as long as we do not give up too many assets for him, I think we can afford to give it a try.

Sounds like he was actually being punished/suspended under the radar.
Interesting it wasn't announced until after Harden deal was done. Seems intentional.

Not really, the penalty was for the party he attended and they announced that and the investigation. It had to play out
Kyrie is not our problem.
Not really looking at him to perform brain surgery or research a Vaccine. He is a basketball player paid millions as an entertainer. He is not playing with a full deck but he does not have to.
He is a pro basketball player. THats all. Kid is a wizard with the basketball. Not a wordsmith, Surgeon, political analyst, stand up comedian, or talk show host. Nobody pays him to guide our conscience or feed us spiritually. He gets buckets and people pay to watch him play.
Man...Levert can't seem to catch a break.

Yeah, hopefully this is like Nene and after he gets healthy he has a long, successful career.
So, Indiana has traded Dipo for nothing?

He didn't have much trade value anyways as he was expiring (which is why they didn't trade him in the offseason), guess they're banking on LeVert making a full recovery

I understand that Dipo was an expiring, did not want to be in Indy, had injury concerns, but how is that a decent return for a young and legit All-Star? And we were roasting our FO for the return on the KP and Melo trades.

Is he a legit Allstar though? (genuine question, as I'm genuinely not sure)- he had one elite year, was it a fluke? then he played slightly worse, then got a serious injury for over a year. Now, if you trade for him you have to max him out or he'll likely go to Miami- that's what hit his trade value. Do you want to take the gamble and max him out?
These are all legitimate questions and concerns. We had a lot of the same ones with KP. Until we got the benefit of the 2020 hindsight

I think there's a big chance we do end up signing Oladipo, if Miami doesn't want him (maybe they go after Beal in a trade?)- it's a scary gamble for whoever maxes him out

Actually, that's LITERALLY catching a break

Great perspective! What ever the outcome the physical he had it diagnosed sooner then later! Might have saved his life?

Oladipo is just a name now. He is not the player he was before the leg injury and everyone knows it
Harden posts first ever triple double in a player debut.......
He may be chunky but rarely misses a game.
Rockets with MDA were like his suns....Not quite good enough.
Harden did not perform well for the big games. True.
BUT he got them to the big game.
