Trier scored 30 too
I think most people can see the difference between Quickley and Trier. Trier was a 4 year college player who could score and do nothing else. Quickley is a better shooter, playmaker, and defender. Obviously younger too, and seems to not have the work ethic or coachability concerns that Trier had.
IQ inconsistencies are to be expected and its why emotionality of the moment makes fans lousy at making decisions. We don’t.
Rivers went 10-10 in the fist half last night and will take that feeling with him the rest of his life. I have not played ball in years but I recall a few hot moments here and there when it was magic. Good for him.
I’m sure at half time fans were like “Hey, Rivers should start!!! WTF!”.
2nd half was awful. The turn overs, dumb fouls.......it was ugly.
IQ was not part of the solution either last night. The league has a dossier on him and thats ok. He has to keep growing and learning.
Yes, he is our best prospect at this time but Thibs/Bryant/Payne know what’s up.

Who cares? If you can't see the difference between Trier and IQ then watch closer
RJ barret would have a 40 point game by now if he could shoot 3s.
RJ is a engine type of player.

I agree Barrett is an engine type talent, but what does Quickley lack that makes him a backup longterm in your mind? Is it size?

funny... I was going to say he's not elite, but he looks a lot like Jamal Crawford. Long rangy guy who isnt really a 1 or a 2 but is still a really good baller. My guess is coach Cal had him in the perfect role and it showed. If he plays like that at the pro level he's a wonderful player to have. Bottom line is we got an impact rotation guy in the 20s and that's fantastic.
Bottom line is he's really good and a scoring combo guard off the bench is one of the most import pieces in the league these days. I think he's certainly that with a higher ceiling.
