That’s how I feel. If it was for a shooter I’m all for it. It’s not about Frank because I know he has no future here. The fact is Rose make no sense other than Thibs wants His guys. I’m also getting afraid that the Knicks are going to throw in a pick as well. I’m pretty sure Detroit wants their second rounder back otherwise this trade would have went down already . If the Knicks do that I will be pissed. Either way the acquisition of Rose makes no sense. He doesn’t help in fact he hurts us on defense and even on offense he doesn’t bring that much anymore

Why would the knicks include a draft pick unless they planning on resigning him. Perhaps they can get more than just Rose.
As far as chemistry, Rose is avg almost 5 assist and has never in his entire career been considered a selfish player.
I actually would love to see a IQ/Rose speedy back court off the bench.

Being upset about trading Frank is valid, as we have seen through many years how his value as an asset has decreased to this point. The fact that Thibs looked on paper like the best chance to turn Frank into a rotation player and has resulted in banishment adds more frustration. Not that Frank is blameless in all of this, but it’s frustrating that he will end up being traded, a young asset, traded for a washed up veteran with a tumultuous history in NY only because the coach loves him.
Not to mention how badly this can affect two other youngsters: Knox and Quick. Supposedly Detroit wants Knox as well and if NY does that move they will have killed any good Will their recent moves have earned. Not only that, but watch Thibs bury Quick with Rose and Payton here.
Maybe Quick starts, Rose backs him up...........

I don't know. I remember Rose as Knick. He was definitely ball dominant and selfish. I remember plenty of games where KP was alone at the top of the key and Rose ignored him to throw up some junk. I'd rather take a chance on Redick and I know that's a risky deal also.

Yeah look despite being a fan of Frank’s I’ve known this is the end of the line for Frank in NY so that’s not the issue. The problem is We know what Rose is. We went through this a few years back. Sure he might have done game here and there where he has a big offensive games BUT he is atrocious defensively and he really doesn’t help players around him. He isn’t going to give us a jump to the playoffs not at this point in his career. I like the chemistry we have right now

Yeah even if it’s straight swap with Payton I’m not sure his offense(that has been pretty inefficient this season) is worth the cost of a worse defense. Payton hasn’t been perfect on D but I can count on him to stay in front of his man.

Sure, that’s why Thibs has been playing him less minutes, because he is about to make him his starter. Especially with Thibs history with Rose, Payton still here and Thibs’ preference on veterans.

It better be a 2024/25 second or something like that. Look I’ve praised Thibs this year but this is all on him. Rose/Perry should have put their foot down if draft picks were involved. I won’t be surprised if we are trading back their second rounder which will be 31-32 in a deep draft class

I’m more concerned about giving up a valuable draft pick and hurting IQ. This was NOT necessarily other than Things getting one of his guys in here. Makes zero sense
