Let's say we the 8 and 15th pick in the draft.
Would u guys package the 15th and both second rounders and a pick in a later years plus salary for filler for for Zach levine and try to getv a good point with the 8th pick?
Or do u think that IQ is the starter.

I don't think thats enough for Zach but i think IQ is a starter. Obviously Thibs loves him. If we get 8 and 15 i bet we need both picks plus the future Dallas pick to even get into the conversation. And probably more after that. I would rather use 8 and 15 to move up a couple spots to get a player we really want, if the opportunity presents itself. Maybe 8 and 15 to get up to 5-6 range for Kuminga or Ziaire Williams, both of which would be good future SF. Get someone like Porter as a stopgap SF.

he's 25 putting up 27/5/5

You arent getting him for pick 15 and filler.

More like both your lottery picks + Obi/Knox and if I am Chi I an not listening really hard to anything that doesnt have RJ or IQ in it.

Chi needs parts. Why are they handing us Zach Levine (bad D and all) for spare change?

My thoughts exactly. We would have to trade all the picks and a good young player most likely.

I am not trading this year's pick or RJ Barrett. I don't think Chicago accepts a deal that doesn't include one of those assets.
Allanfan20 @ 2/1/2021 10:25 PM
He’s not a needle mover. Why would we give up a ton for him?

Yeah. I could see if they were desperate to move him. But I don't see it. Maybe if he gave us a little help and said we were one of two destinations he'd go to.

The move for Lavine was 2 years ago when, maybe, a package of Knox and Frank would have probably gotten it done.

That ship has long sailed

Same with Beal. Now the cost is waaaaaaay too high, especially after the Harden trade.

Sambakick @ 2/2/2021 2:12 AM
I honestly like our team the way it stands. I wouldn't make a big splash right now.

Exactly..... The real question is will the Knicks try to keep options over to go fo Zach once he is an expiring or chase him 2022 FA. It won’t be easy but that’s just the reality.

EwingsGlass @ 2/2/2021 8:33 AM
It’s kind of the AD problem all over again. You assume they are available for cheap in 2-3 years, meanwhile they sign a super max. One could argue that the league is locked up between LA and LA for the next 2-3 years anyway — on paper. I think that misses the point.

To be competitive, you need to maximize the minute player in term of Player Efficiency and more specifically, eFG.

I’m not in a “rush” to trade draft picks, but at some point the Knicks will need to consolidate into two more starting level players. Maybe three.

TLover @ 2/2/2021 9:29 AM
This is not the year to trade our draft picks..go with what we have this year.. scout well and also maybe a superstar like Kawahi Leonard will sign here.
