Believe he would add scoring to our 2nd unit while opening up things for Randle with the 3 ball.
Dedmon is available as a free agent. He had a down year last year, but he's proven he can hit the three at an above average rate.
Pass. He’s overrated trash

Agreed...but he's from Kentucky. lol!
He’ll join LA or Brooklyn just like they all do.

My guess would be Brooklyn. Its an All-Star team. If Cousins can stay relatively healthy, they would be tough to get past. Thats why if we're going for stars, should be with the Nets in mind. Beal is that type of player, but damn would he would cost $$$$$$
Still believe the Knicks need a training facility in the city like the Nets. Commercial real estate should be cheaper across the city in the coming years. Would be a good time for Dolan to invest in a facility that can also serve as a first rate hangout. Maybe a safe space for their kids to play. That would be fun as hell designing.
I’d certainly take a flyer on him. His Per 36 numbers are a bit more telling. He is shooting a bit too much from 3. I think you compare him to Taj Gibson and I think he makes the 10 man rotation. Available basically for free. I rejected that call to give him 15mm, but at 2.3mm I’m a buyer all day. We have use it or lose it money, so, I might even give him the 5m Noel got to incentivize him.
I’d believe Kenny Payne would get the best version of Boogie

Turning back the clock 5 years is the only way to get the best version of Boogie. He lacks any type of lateral movement (ie defense) and he is a black hole on Offense.
Do we need to be reminded who is the coach and who much he loves defense and players like Nerlens and Taj?

I hear you. I hate his face. Literally. I can’t stand the face he makes when he gets a foul. But for 2.3mm I think he is an upgrade over Taj in terms of per minute production. For 20 minutes a game, his production isn’t bad. His defensive WS are good. His Defensive Plus/Minus is good. He is a no risk upgrade over the bottom of the bench at a time when our starting C is injured.
All of this may be moot, cause unless he is dying to reunite with Kenny Payne, we are looking at a guy that will be signing with LA or Brooklyn to get a ring.
I’d be inclined to offer him the starting job until Robinson returns and see if that is enough for him to want to rehab his career. He is 30 years old, quite a bit banged up, but still can make another decent contract if he can put it together.

All of it moot because Thibs fucking LOVES Taj and the fact that despite the small sample sized stats that may look good, in reality Cousins is a bad personality twice injured guy who is a black hole on offense and a worse defender cause he can't move. Houston, who has exactly 1 non-injured guy 6'9" tall (and this is a SF) just let go their only true C cause he was that piss poor.

Taj's value is more in the locker room than on the court. And people need to come to grips with the fact that the old Cousins is done. Three teams took a chance on him and got nothing out of him. He's more of a three point shooter than a low post threat now. Cousins wouldn't help us.

He's a 33% three point shooter. The Knicks are o e if the few teams where that would be considered good

Yeah, that's true. He may be more valuable as a shooter than any big man related attributes.

Unfair assessment. They guaranteed his contract and then the next day let the world know he was going to be let go? Why guarantee the contract then?

Houston fans think it was just a public display to garner goodwill. Tillman's rep has reached Dolan levels and the front office is trying to combat that. Plus, in the grand scheme of things, it wasn't that much money. Sounds like Cousins was a good locker room guy, it's just that he's washed.
He can’t really protect the rim though can he?
It would work if we had a stacked starting unit, which we dont. Cousins will probably want a larger role. Not sure he's up to it, at this point in his career.
Read on ESPN that the Rockets are getting ready to waive Cousins. No takers?

Both LA teams, Brooklyn.

No not at all
