lucky for us we dont have to rely on any facts based on your opinions
Knicks are literally dead in the middle for remaining strength of schedule (Knicks have 14th toughest schedule of 30)

What sucks is Dallas has a REALLY easy schedule
The Knicks have actually played well against elite competition this year

We are going to have to hope we can hang on to the 10th spot and win the play in games with our defense. It’s gonna get ugly though.
Fingers crossed teams realize that Dallas can’t defend the rim and crush them in the second half.

why? Knicks are 1 game out of the 4th seed right now and have beaten most of the teams in front of us.
Its also more likely than not that the offense will improve. Mitch will come back. Been winning some games with guys struggling... why are you assuming we will get worse and not better?

You're right....we should improve as the season goes on. Other teams will get better as well. The Hawks will get healthy and perhaps field their entire team at some point. The Heat have been struggling with covid fall-out and injuries as well. Charlotte essentially just added a really good player by inserting Monk into the regular rotation. It will be a tight-race for 7-10 the rest of the way.
Our first 6 games second half of the season look rough
1.
Beat Blow out Destroy Cause the NBA to evoke the Pandemic 3rd quarter slaughter rule when we beat the Nets
2. Beat the Mavs twice, handily. Frankie holds Luka to 10 points each game. KP plays great in both losses, causing endless UK threads to be created.
3. Randle is not allowed to be injured.
4. Mitch throws caution to the wind and outplays Noel
5. Frankie and Quick become the new 3rd quarter opposition run killers
6. RJ actually becomes a better, smoother Jimmy Butler
7. End the season winning 9 out of 9 at home and split the trip in the West.
Playoffs, here we come.

The good news is we have much more national televised games (we lost the only 2 we had on espn)But it looks like 80% of the games are against Playoff contenders

Annoying as I bought NBA league pass and since they removed NBA TV from it I can't watch 5 more games now...

YouTube TV has NBA TV. Only games I can’t see are Foxsports broadcasts when they play charlotte hornets as they are not on youtubeTV. I can’t see any hornets unless they are national games.
A play-in game should be the goal. Obviously the team believes they can make the playoffs, but even a play-in would be a huge step in the right direction for this franchise.
Hopefully our guys are locked in and playing at a high level.
Rivers was a big part of our early success, so I'm not sure why is completely out of the rotation. It's cool that frank is shooting better, but we still need that Playmaker who's going to attack the basket, draw fouls and get other guys open looks.
Defense alone won't cut it

Your Rainman act on frank is a trip. Your saying what Rose and IQ bring to the team.
Seriously, you don’t know why rivers is out of the rotation?

Then why are you mystified that Rivers is not part of the rotation? He doesn't do those things on a consistent basis
Looks like the toughest stretch is the last 10 games of the season. That 7 game west coast road trip from May 2 to May 11 starts with a back 2 back and then just runs the West playoff bracket. But, very possible we hit those teams when they are resting players for the playoffs. I'd probably discount the difficulty of that stretch to some degree.
If those teams come to play, the Knicks will truly earn their playoff spot. Should be pretty tuned up for the playoffs too. Otherwise, we will be counting balls in the lottery.

anything can happen. We could be playing Theo Pinson 40 minutes a night because of covid issues. We could be rolling over teams who arent healthy. Anything can happen. What we have is a young squad that is gonna fight every night and a coaching staff that will have a good game plan.

HOW will we improve offensively, though? Unless we make some kind of surprising trade, it will be hard to improve the offense with the same guys and same offense. I’m sure we will have some overachieving games like we have had, but we will need more consistent offense to deal with this schedule and I don’t see how we are gonna improve from within to make up for that. I’m all for it, but Payton is still our starter, the youth will still play limited minutes, RJ will have his disappearing acts from time to time and Randle will have his few mortal games. Hard to expect a significantly better result with the same players.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for it. But it’s hard to expect much improvement offensively when we don’t have much going in that sense.
