The Post also has learned the Knicks have had internal talks about their former center, Kyle O’Quinn, a Queens native. O’Quinn played sparingly for the 76ers last season, but got passed over in free agency in November. O’Quinn signed up with a team in Turkey, Fenerbahce, in January and has made 21 of 26 shots in seven games.
I liked him when he was here. Could bring him back cheap. Would be a nice offensive/defensive pairing with either Noel or Mitch.
And I'd love to see if the coaching staff can bring him to the next level.
If it can be done hell yeah.

I think you should put that in your sig
Want to see Mitch and Noel as part of the core going forward. If the FO wants to bring KOQ as well, sure. It would help cut down on Noel's minutes while Mitch is out. More depth, if we make the plsyoffs.
I think a short term stop gap like KOQ is preferable to wasting money on a Drummond. Mitch, Noel, Taj is good at the 5 looking ahead.

+100
I was a huge KOQ fan. Good toughness, locker room guy and local product.

Yep just need another body to rebound and provide some rim protection. He won't throw the team into chaos by acquring him like Drummond would
I have not seen him play in couple of years but if he is close to what he was when he was last here on the team, then they should definitely bring him back.
Sure why not? We need a Center until Mitch comes back. O’Quinn is a good defender and rebounder and can sometimes even shoot
Please no, I didn't even know he was still in the league, He hardly got any PT after he left the knicks

He is in Turkey.

Remember when Anthony Mason having played in Turkey was a big deal, Out of the ordinary. Im sure O'Quinn would be very motivated to stick, back in his hometown.

We need KOQ to block the rim. KOQ is explosive when he springs in to action, but sometimes he doesn't think with the big head. It causes him to do things like leak to the help side prematurely. But he's good for a big eruption to the hole when he gets inside.

this is good content!
KOQ would actually be a good cog in our offense. He's a role player but could fit really well next to Randle. He strikes me as a guy they could coach up. He's 30 so he's 5 years younger than Taj and still has a little spring in his legs. I love the idea of having him hear and bringing him back. You know how much Thibs values practices so having a guy like KOQ around with a big incoming draft and question marks with Noel (does he bolt for $$) or Mitch (can he stay healthy + in shape).
Love the idea. Great team guy. Good role player. Zero cost. Feel good karma aspect.
I liked O'Quinn when he was here. But is he really that different from what Taj Gibson is providing?

Nah, bit Taj is out and his watch is ending. O'Quinn would be a stopgap.
I'd rather have a guy who is actually good enough to be in the league. I don't think O'Quinn is playing in Turkey because he wanted to experience the country.
Need a guy in the league? euro league is better than Gleague. Kyles team is coached by Igor the Russian who was head coach at PHX and assistant for many years in the NBA. I’d rather live in Istanbul then Philly.
Relax, he would be a back up for. Few weeks. Who else do some of you have in mind?
