Who though? None are on the market and there really aren’t a lot of them around the league to begin with.
This will be the true test of the new regime. Can they avoid the mistakes of the past and not go for a superstar and trade away all our picks. Patience has gotten us this far, and patience is what will continue to build this team. I am looking for maybe a small trade for someone like Lonzo Ball. No Bookers or Beals, as those guys will cost us several draft picks. We should have two first round picks in the 16-23 range. We can probably package both of those and someone like Knox, and move into the top-9 picks, so we should come out of this draft with another solid player. We have the most cap room in the league, and we probably will still have the most cap room in the summer of 2022 before we resign Randle and Mitchell (we can do their deals last that summer). So we will be able to add talent to this team without trading all our picks.

Something like this is very often writen here, but it simply isn't true. Mitchell was a pick of the second round and is playing his 3rd NBA season. If we want him to be RFA, it has to be this summer. The CBA is pretty clear about that. A player whose first NBA contract expires must have 3 seasons or less behind him if he wants to be an RFA. The exceptions are, of course, first-round picks that have differently structured contracts.

Lonzo Ball (restricted)
Jrue Holiday (if he opts out)
Devonte Graham (restricted)
Dinwiddie (restricted)
Old timers over pay options:
Mike Conley
Lowry
Dragic
I think this free agency pool has become a bit under-rated, there are a couple of diamonds in the rough:

Mitch signed a four year contract his rookie season. The Knicks have him tied up until the summer of 2022 (I think there is a team option for the last year).

Mitch has a contract until 2022 and that last year is a team option. That is not in dispute at all. What I want to say is if we take that option, he will be UFA in the summer of 2022. If we decline the option, in that case he is RFA this summer. It’s hard for me to imagine that FO will gamble and allow him to become UFA.

Understood. However, even if the team resigns Mitch this summer to an extension, we still would have a ton of cap space through cutting 1-2 players. We should be good with cap space until the summer of 2022, when we will likely resign Randle to a max contract. They should be able to create one max salary slot before resigning Randle. This is all the more reason why we should not trade away picks. We need to keep the cheap players coming in to balance out the cap.
