Knicks think they can win a championship with a near 30 year old center and clog up the middle?
We need a wing who can average 25 points to contend for a ring!!!
We need a player who can average 25 points. Not 17/17 rebounds.
I haven’t even looked into any scenario where adding drummond and extending him will put us at nba finals level!!!
I think the logic here is the Knicks play with a 5 under thibs and Andre is a guy who has proven talent.

I don’t doubt his talent. where are we going with this move?
Thibbs seems to be the type of coach that is a winner but doesn’t know how to get over the hump.

So it's best when you link to your sources so that there is some context into what you are talking about.
And, this is a rehash of a rehash of a thought that no one actually thinks will come to fruition. Basically, trade scenarios have evaporated and Cleveland or Drummond's agent needed it back in the news to keep relevant and they mentioned something about the Knicks.
Nothing to see here

It was quoted from Shams in the Athletic today. The Nets and Lakers reportedly have the biggest interest. Cavs probably trying to rev up a stalling market.
Sham's article should just be this:
Drummond won't be traded cause he has a god awful contract that no one in their right mind would trade for unless heavily compensated - and oh yeah Knicks have some salary cap to use and we need the clicks so New York once had a millisecond of talk about a Drummond trade but immediately shut it down but we won't mention that part - so, Drummond and agent will negotiate a buyout by which time the Knicks will have their 3 centers back and why would Andre want to be the 4th big on that bench instead of on a deep playoff team like Brooklyn, LAC or Lakers where he will eventually end up.

Very true

Tag this to every rumor please.

Would not mind having Drummond. And NO, not worried about how he fits with Randle. Good players that average double doubles are always good to habe.(See my post about Randle a year ago) HOWEVER!, Drummond will absolutely get bought out. Very few teams have the cap space nor the interest of giving up assets for a upcoming UFA. Once bought out it will be "ring chasing" time for Drummond and his agent. And that is not something he can do with the Knicks. Btw, saying Drummond is 30 is like saying he is 24.
Drummond would be a good piece he is 27 year old still young and former 2 time all star . I wouldn't mind trading 15 million frank , rivers, and second round pick for drummond . Frank and rivers aren't going playing when rose, and payton come back.

Agree if the cost is rivers, Frank, and a second it’s a no brainer. Even if drummond walks we won’t have room to sign Frank or keep a waste of space in rivers and the 2nd rounder. They are all gone regardless.
I do find it funny how most threads on Drummond are negative, fluffed stats, blah blah blah. But it is ironic that the top 2 suitors who want Andre, are the Lakers and Nets. 2 teams that are elite see him as a positive addition. I do, but somehow most don't. Imagine if Thibs & staff show him how to play defense.

We all understand the scenarios between a team like the Knicks and Lakers/Brooklyn are completely different so why compare them as if they are the same?

Noel/Gibson COMBINED 4 pts 9 reb 2 ast 1 blk, that is why!
Also, if he is good enough for them, he should be more than good enough for the Knicks.

Drummond isn't going to protect the rim and Kyrie is having violent relations with him on those PnR coverages.

Do you think the Lakers, Brooklyn or any of the playoff teams that considers Drummond would trade for his $28M contract WHILE giving up assets? Cause that's the position the Knicks are in.
Or do you think that they will wait for a buyout and make Drummond a situational player who comes off the bench for 15 minutes or so.
Mitch was obviously missing from the game and will be back in like a week.
If Drummond wants to come to the Knicks after he is bought out, I don't know why anyone wouldn't consider it but that's not what anyone is talking about
Smells like no way do we let the Nets get the center they need

The absolute best visual of why we should stay clear of Drummond. But I assume somebody is going to claim the reason he's so horrible at the rim is either because of his head coach or his teammates.
