I was thinking about this for next year for Melo and don't think it would be a good fit. Thibodeau is so heavy in playing his starters it would be almost disrespectful to Melo to play the type of minutes he would get under Thibs. I'm seeing next year as Melo's retirement year where he gets congratulated around the league.
If Denver can be a legit contender it would be fun to see him return there for a finals play. Be a good full circle for him, the Nuggs and the league. As a fan I’d like to see that. Better there than another twilight star in a laker uniform. I don’t see us in that kind of position next year.
