It’s so hard to find wing players that do what they do. Burks is a scorer and secondary playmaker and Bullock is a classic 3&D player. He has become a necessary player against elite wing opponents. These 2 players have also changed the outlook of this team from a 3pt shooting perspective. Both are 30 years old. Hoping we can keep both on a reasonable deal since they should be happy with their roles. Anything short of replacing them with a superstar isn’t going to make the team better, so might as well build off of what this team is doing now. Randle is the centerpiece with Barrett emerging. Bullock and Burks have become critical role players to what is working. Good wings are the most important and hardest positions to fill in the league.
Yeah I'm a big believer in not fixing what not broken and establishing continuity. I'd hope that we'd prioritize our younger pieces' development over their playing time but I'm willing to overpay on 1-2 yr deals to keep em around. BnB are too reliable.
They are tough good smart players
I like em both. This team is fun to watch and all the players seem to get along great. I won’t be mad if there aren’t any trades made this season.
Good signings by, um, Scott Perry?

Burks was in Utah with Perrin and Bryant so that was their influence. Perry signed Bullock but got lucky his contract was restructured due to him failing a physical in 2019. Otherwise his team option wouldn’t have been renewed. So can’t really give Perry credit for them, although he deserves full credit for Randle which matters more.

Still signed Bullock. Good call. I had my doubts. Doubt Burks would have been signed if Perry was against it.
Basically I’m trying to just replace Payton with Lonzo ball and keep everything else the same.
C Robinson/ Noel
PF Randle/ Toppin
SF Bullock/ Burks
SG Barrett/ Quickley
PG Ball/ Rose
With the 3 2021 draft picks and Gibson and Pinson rounding out the active roster. Just roll with those 15 until an opportunity for the right superstar comes up.

I'd be super happy with that

Seconded, though I'd hope 1 of those 3 picks could displace one of the BBs.
Bullock needs to get more consistent with his 3's to be a starter level 3 and D player, or he is just a good bench player.
Burks is an average SG a below average PG and a below average SF. He is a scorer more than a shooter, and he even does what he does best (scoring) at an average level. Definite bench player.
Both play hard and play a veteran's game, but there is nothing "special" about either player that says they are irreplaceable.

I loved both signing...I thought they was a steal....especially Bullock, since he failed his physical. But I didnt know Bullock had defense like that or Burk was a playmaker....But I knew we needed shooting and scoring. They filled that void.

Exactly how I’ve been seeing it.

The three draft picks if not a top 5 will be burks/bullock Mitch/Noel rose/ball understudy.
People have their own preference but for this role I like
Corey Kispert and one of the combo guards who is a absolute bucket and can score on his own.
We need our bench to come in and put points on the board easily next year.
Also a project center or give Jason Preston a look at pg
This draft is important. If we are not top 5 its about establishing Very good competent rotational pieces which can have trade value Down the line if we ever decide to flip the current roster for a big 3.
These guys cannot be questionable nor projects as far as the eye test goes. From day one they need to look like professional players. Notice I didn’t say stars, I said professional players.
