I think this kid is gonna flourish here amd he just needs to find consistency in his shot but he does have the work ethic and I think 2 years from now when we look back at this trade we will be in amazement. Kid can jump out the gym and play some defense, I really do think we found a diamond in the rough and made out like bandits. This Knicks organization is really doing their homework.

He needs to get off the bench first.
I don't see him eclipsing-burks,bullock, Barrett, Rose, quickley and to some extent Frank.

I believe this trade addition is more long term than short. Eventhough he has some playoff experience as a starter early on his young career at okc.

I belive the main reason for this trade was to do a favour to Rivers, who dropped out of our rotation. As for Ferguson, another one of those athletic wings for who I thought in the time of the draft, they would do much better in the league.
We’ll give him a look until the end of the season, but I think there’s a better chance he won’t be here next season than he will be.

Well be is is 6-6
If he can hit his shots and defend and be confident there is a spot for him here on a 15 man roster
Basically the role ntlikina has currently. But ntlikina doesn’t play confidently all the time.

My perspective is that they cleared about 5m off the cap, got a 2nd pick and a marketing pick (unlikely to trade), and a couple more unlikely assets that can be included to make one sided trades.Sounds like house cleaning

It is possible Ferguson finds some playing time here. He plays defense so he will have a chance with Thibs if he can knock down some threes.
TheGame@ 3/27/2021 12:06 PM
Been watching videos of Ferguson. He has the potential to develop into a more athletic Bullock type player, if he can get more consistency on his jumper. Good low cost move to add young talent, plus we get the second round picks. I liked Iggy but he never was going to crack the rotation due to his physical limitations.

I see traits in him that i NEVER saw in frank. now we can dump frank and knox

In the great tradition of Andy Rautins, Trey Burke, Iggy and on and on....

While he's been a project for awhile now - will be interesting to see if Thibs and his staff can bring out his potential. He still looks pretty skinny but reportedly plays defense so there's stuff to work with.

He's played like complete and utter trash the past season and half. I don't expect much, if anything from him.

Top 5 on this list: * Kyle Korver * Demarcus Cousins * Isaiah Thomas * Gerald Green * Rondae Hollis-Jefferson
Some wildcards with Knick ties: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (tough defender, last cut by Knicks), Lin & Mudiay (unlikely, esp with Rose/Payton working themselves back), JR Smith (though no way would the Knicks get him with Woodson gone to Indiana)

Any GLeague guys that show promise beyond this year? any euro’s? WE have cap space and in effect can offer multi year deals NOW. Not all FA’s need be stars. Do any of those top 5 help us beyond?

Call me crazy but from that list I'll take Lin and Cousins. I still like Lin as a player and think of all the amazing PR he would bring for the Linsanity era fans and during this Asian hate stuff going on. Cousins is always a wild card but if he causes any trouble waive him.

I fear Boogie has lost much of his mobility. Lin is always welcome in the house of Clyde.
