We may be witnessing the beginning of a Knicks legend.
What is his status for the next game? Will Pelle be available? He did very well in just less than 3 minutes. Do you think he was able to make an impression on Thibs enough to move hime up the big man rotation? Is it possible for him to move ahead of Taj or share the back up center spot every other game?

I see him, Frank and Knox starting in a new action comedy called "BENCHED". The first episode will center around Frank and Knox getting over the deaths of their partner, Iggy, while the new guy, Norvell, tries to fit in

That as ceiling or floor?

Well his blocks per minute are astronomical, so I'd say floor
But he does need controversy so that we can take hater/lover sides
I think playing after he messed up his finger clearly has Thibs approval
If it’s a good deal for the multi year ok.
Would have preferred they drafted a younger center project though.

Multi year is just a way to pay him some guaranteed money next year and have a team option on it, so no worries.
I gotta believe the Knicks will draft a C this year, maybe someone like Usman Garuba if they can trade up a bit

I think this is good news. He must be showing some promise in practice. This is also a way to keep adding players that know their role and fit the locker room culture. 👏

But don't we have one of those already?
One of Gibson, Noel, or mitch likely won’t be back. Any project kid can be sent to Gleague. Pelle value as a tradable contract is also apparent. To what degree I have no idea. Kids like this get moved, bought out, and perhaps move on if they are viable. Good deal for him, good for us. For all we know Taj might be retiring, Mitch could be coveted on a draft day deal with a pick, and Norlens might be pricing himself out of our wheel house. If Thibs wants this kid its not a bad thing.
He's here to be our backup's backup's backup. Not looking for anyone to rock the boat. Be ready if called upon, and don't get pissy if that doesn't happen.
I like him. He fits the same role as Mitch/Noel (just the store brand version of them). He's shown his grit in the Battle of the Index Finger. Stepped in during last night's purge and we did not see as much of a drop off as you'd expect.
Can be a niche market to find a true professional without the guarantee (or even expectation) of minutes. He's a cog we need right now.
