Still could have used Mitch in the paint. We need depth in the playoffs. Especially on D.
But yeah kudos to Noel and Taj. Love them as part of the Big 15.
Big kudos to Taj, really his impact is not seen in the boxscore. How he moved his feet on D, how we helped in containing Adams after dominating the glass in the first half.
Speaking of center position, Adams is a really tough player who makes a mess under the basket. It’s hard to push him out and it’s just a struggle with him all the time. I think he would have been much more appreciated 20 or 30 years ago.
By the way, I am very proud of our centers. We don’t have a starting center, but Noel and Taj fill that void. Noel really looks “thin”, but he’s a lot firmer than another one of our former "thin" players who we played against the other day.
When they brought Taj back, my first thought was "why, what's next? Noah"...but the man really did his job properly.
Copy cat league. You guys think the association will now copy us and get the old defensive C model back in style?

Noel and Mitch aren’t the old defensive C. Both can guard perimeter players decently and have the ability to stunt on drives. A traditional Defensive C can’t do that, it’s more of a Tyson Chandler model and Center’s like that never completely fell out of style.
Either players looking Thibs look good or visa versa!

I always liked the c position. I think no doubt one of our three picks this year should be a center3-4 good ones. It’s been a very under rated position for us this year and I guarantee you are right— more teams will go back to a pivot center because of our success
