Would have preferred they drafted a younger project center with the third pick though.
Also we are stacking all these centers with no offensive games
Would be nice to have a center who has one move or two down low or could shoot.
It would help our offense if we had a center who could consistently get us 8-10 ppg
Only thing that worries me is the Knicks and Thibs start forcing moves to win it all in a 2 year window while ignoring long term growth.
Not a fan of signing 33 year old pgs. Unless a miracle happens I don’t see us winning a championship in 2 years.

“Multi year extension” in this case very likely means a minimum contract until the summer of 2023 where the next two seasons probably are not guaranteed. In other words, nothing too important.

Yea and will play 8 productive minutes when our other 3 fragile centers are in the locker room

Looks like a perfect practice player also. Doesnt need shots, bangs and protects the rim so he's exactly what you want your guys going against in practice to get better. Guessing the staff loves him and they clearly put a great emphasis on what happens in practice. You want guys who get after it
We will draft another center. With 3 draft picks not sure we have room for him
Might have to trade or let go either Robinson or Noel. Possible trade Robinson to move up a few spots in the draft etc.
It will come down to what Robinson and Noel will ask for and also if we draft a center with our picks.
I like all our players but it will come down to their asking price.

Unless he will be included in a trade during the draft I guess we will not be looking at any centers during the draft.
This move is actually very insightful to what they will do during the draft.
Possibly move all 4 picks and trade a guy or two on the roster to move up.
Or just draft wings in the 18-22 range
Or maybe a 4 who they feel can give Randle a rest.

Don't think Pelle is the type of guy that is any type of trade bait, currently, other than salary filler. Developmentally, I think he can be an average banger/maybe staring caliber hold the position down like an Erick Damper/Kevin Willis style center.
