They were longer and more athletic. We played very well offensively or we would’ve got smoked.
Phoenix is not even tapping its full potential —- I still think Ashton can go up another level. It’s a darn good team. Their downside is Paul is in father times watch. But they are a legit title contender tgis year
Maybe cause they scored more points.

Nah they could’ve lost too. It’s a team a little ahead of us

As it was pointed out in the game thread, they have CP3. Dont believe we need a cap busting PG to beat them.
Correction...I know the Suns are better. You are what your record says you are (to quote Bill Parcells).
I agree with Briggs. In the 4th, Booker and Paul were a bit more “on” than our guys. Didn’t feel like they were that much better, even though they have the far better record.

We caught the Suns at the end of a five game road trip off of a back to back and we lost at home by 8. I think the records are an accurate indication of how much better the Suns are and it's mainly because of one player, CP3.
Suns are one of the best... our guys have a ton of upside, but its critical we add another heavy hitter. Ive heard Norman Powell and he's a monster.

I’ve been talking myself into Derozan more and more recently given how great RJ and Randle have been from 3 this season. He’d solve all our playmaking issues, is a reliable slasher, and would be a much better #1 option. If the Conley Lowry ball etc aren’t available and we could snag him on a bloated short term deal...not 100% sold but it’s not dead in water.
They took Randle out the game with those timely double team on defense. Smart defensive move, along with playing a matchup zone. Until we add another star, Randle needs to figure out how to impact the game when teams do that. We needed a 30 plus game from Randle in order to win. RJ and Randle didn't have an efficient offense like the other games during that streak.
I thought Randle was just tired, which is terrible given the Suns played last night.
Suns are definitely one of the top teams. We are still a few steps below them.
I was wrong about Chris Paul and what he could have done for us- but he still has time for a season ending injury in the play offs!

And since this seems the perfect reply:
No we just missed our shots and they made almost every shot in the last 5 min... it happens..

exactly, they made their shots and we didnt. im ok with the effort
Honestly, Paul pulled two shot out of his ass and we were just sloppy with the ball. I don't think the Suns are that much better than Knicks. We just need Burks and Mitch back. Having another shot blocker and shot maker will make all the difference.
I would have gave Frank 12 minutes tonight to just try to bother Paul and Booker. We have really been getting killed by quicker guards lately even though we have been playing great.
The difference in this game was one player, Kevin Knox. Mikal Bridges is everything you want in a player and it was an easy decision to be made. Take the sure thing and 10 year 3/D or chase the next Jason Tatum. That's our biggest need right now. Bullock has been tremendous but finding that threat going forward is what takes this team to the next level.
you go with he horse you rode in with.......
ANd we can second guess Thibs, the way he has been coaching thru the streak is how he gonna go with.
Suns second best record and are quite good. Losing to Nets they were not walking out without a fight.
That we played that good, toe to toe was something. We opened the game elite. That was with that dude Payton also.
Its all part of the recipe. Winning streaks raise the bar.
Bullock, Burkes, Payton.....all need to be replaced as we move to the next level. How that happens and if, remains to be seen.
Suns are a better team. Knicks played well.

Frankie who? Forgot about the kid? This is an excellent example of where he could have made a major contribution ( defensively ). Is he ever going to get minutes? Opinions of Frankie on this board vary, but most will acknowledge he does play D.

Good point booker was going off. He needed a chance to slow him a bit
But you know Thibs and his rotations. He gets comfortable doing the same thing over and over lol

The bold in answer to the length and athleticism angle. If CP3 had to chase someone like Kyrie for his entire time on the floor, things possibly would have ended different. Randle just looked gassed.
Mitch and Burks not hurt and we have that extra 3 and D. We probably wouldn't score jack sheehit, but a front line of Taj, Noel and Mitch might give teams nightmares. How'd you like to see Mitch or Noel running and launching themselves defending 3's? Crazy, man. Play Julius and RJ in the backcourt. LOL
Just watching the highlights again, I was impressed with several of Bullock's sequences on D.
I doubt we see Frankie any time soon. Not sure why, but it seems like Thibs has his mind made up. Why can't someone on the medical staff inject some of Elvis Hayton's offensive aggression into Frankie?

Frank would be decent if he had Payton’s thirst for getting to the rim lol

The reason being when Frankie checks in for like the last every game he seems to run up to the guy and foul him at the end of a good defensive sequence. Preferably behind the 3 point line. I am not sure if this is intentional but I sure hope it's not
