you tell me but i don’t see a player who’s been more valuable to their team this year than julius deion randle. plus at 24.1/10.4/5.9/.42 the only player in history other than larry bird to go 20+ ppg/10+rpg/5+apg/.40+3ppct in a season. so sweet
He should be in the conversation.
I think he should be 2nd team all nba at the very least. He has only missed 1 game this season
I expected "fishmike" and see some jive on Julius. Fine.
I saw Julius up close last year and didnt think he was as bad as he showed. Classic example of trying to do too much. That being said I never thought he could be this player, yet here he is and its real.
Takes tough year super personally. Becomes more focused. Tells FO he wants a coach to push him and hold him accountable. He bonds with Thibs. Leads by example and team play on both sides of the ball. Cleans up TOs, reconnects with Kenny Payne and results start happening. Its been so great to watch and we are so lucky.
We got ourselves a 2-way star. Team first, great attitude, loves the game, wants to be Knick for life.
I really hope we crush the FA market and build a crew of 2-way bruisers who rain 3 and check you like every possession is crunchtime of game 7
He's 26! He's gonna be our guy for awhile
Just stay healthy fella
On a side note even his wife and kid are f-ing adorable

phuck yeah ya should
I agree....good post Fish
It’s hard for me to ignore Joel Embiid. Doncic is also gotta be up there. But Doncic and Randle each have the same issue, and it’s just that their records are good enough. It’s easy to think that the MVP should go to the player that is most valuable to its team. But it tends to go to the best player on the best team in the regular season. Top handful of teams at most.
Randle may be in the conversation as an homage to the player most valuable to his team, but any real mvp discussion probably can’t start happening next year. The Knicks need a better record for him to get more consideration.

Soccer Saturday is almost here.
Can't ignore how Embiid and Jokic have been playing this year but the top 3 for MVP considerations this year are (in no particular order)
Randle
Lillard
Doncic
IMO, Dallas, NY and Port would not be in the position they are in if not for these guys.

True, could the same be said for CP3@PHX, Curry @ GSW? I really think this is Jokic year and his to loose.
I believe Denvers stellar record after Murry’s injury might have confirmed his status as legit MVP.
I think Randle is getting MIP so I doubt he gets two awards. That said, he definitely deserves to get first team votes and if the NY writers don’t vote for him I’m gonna be irate
He barely got on the all star team with Knicks fans voting how is he getting votes from hack journalists who have been bashing the Knicks their entire lives?
