Sizers blew a 26 pt lead! The anguish on their face is so perfect
VDesai@ 6/16/2021 10:32 PM
I cannot believe that collapse by the Sixers. That was epic.

Loved the post up by Hill on Young.
Embiid scoring at will.
I remember Pete Vescey once saying there was nothing more useless than a partial NBA score.

Sizers got too overconfident. Hawks have gunners who can erupt at a moments notice and that’s what happened. Lou Williams and Gallo came up big today despite Frauds like Huerter and Capela doing their best to sell.
Ben Simmons is also pretty ass. How are you a point guard in the NBA and you go 4-14 from the line in a playoff game? It’s not good enough and if they survive this series they need to move him ASAP.
TPercy@ 6/16/2021 10:37 PM
Also it’s pretty telling that an even better defense in 76ers has done f all to stop Trae despite him being a shooter down in Hunter. He’s a special player.
ToddTT@ 6/16/2021 10:55 PM
Apparently 48 minutes is just too much for this Philly team.
Jimbo5@ 6/16/2021 11:39 PM
Kahwi is injured. Clippers fear it might be an ACL injury. If Kahwi sustained an ACL injury or any major injury chances are he will just opt in his player option.

I think there are countless Wizards fans who would say this is addition by subtraction.
I think most Wizards fans don't like Brooks and frankly neither do I. They did well to make it back into the playoffs but Brooks has been suspect for awhile. Wizards D from an organizational standpoint was quite horrific and their offense was a bit too Beal centric. The only issue now is that with 1/5 of teams looking for new coaches the market is looking pretty scarce.
Johnnie Bryant is picking out suits and ties as we speak. His name gets thrown out often and it's just a matter of time before he gets a HC gig.
Over my dead body
ugh really hope he doesn't go anywhere. Give Thibs a 5 yr term limit.

This has to be the weirdest 2nd round of the playoffs I can remember- the Bucks collapse, the Sixers collapse, all the injuries, teams looking like they're done then the other team returning to life. But it's not even like it's great basketball you're watching- it's more like a 'last man standing' slog fest

He'll get a max even with a torn ACL, just like KD got one with a torn achilles- some players are just too good to not take the risk.

Playoffs have been fun w all these comebacks
Want to give a shout out to Nate. He has gotten them playing hard and playing D. Sixers choked for sure but a lot of teams would have quit being that down
Agree re comments on Simmons and FTs. Same too for Giannis
Nalod@ 6/17/2021 8:17 AM
Shame on Nalod. Saw the PHilly hawks game score and did not bother to watch what was a blowout. We created the “villain” in Trae and Im just rooting for them young upstarts! He faced the Mecca and took it. Let league deal with “Unatural movements” next year. Its about time. It will affect his game but many others too. Including IQ.
Clippers messing with Utah bad. I dont’ take Kawahi with ACL. Just becuase durant is super natural does not mean all players are. He was managing his minutes before and will going forward. Nothing wrong with that but giving big money to ACL guys past age 30 is not a good idea. If Clips want to do that, its their money.
Who is our playoff dog. Let Randle grow from it. RJ is the man? I’m cool letting this process work itself. Can’t play 10 game overs .500 and ignore it becauase of one series. Yes, its part of it.
Randle is MIP and 2nd team all NBA. Not max money yet but he can earn it if he chooses to wait. Maybe we get screwed. Keep moving forward regardless. Perhaps he takes the extension early and keeps growing. that would be best scenario. Team should improve around him that will dilute his stats a bit but winning more.

Only Embiid and Curry scored in the 2nd half for the Sixers...Everytime Doc goes with the all bench lineup in the 2nd and 4th quarters, the Hawks go on a run. Here is the bottom line, the Sixers were touted as a contender because they have 2 young superstars. The fact is, Simmons is playing like a role player. 4-14 from the line? A complete liability on the offensive end. Over the last game and a half, he had played more quarters, 6, than shot attempts, 5.
Philly blew it by not trading for Lowry when they had the chance...

I think Thybulle Maxey and two firsts was too much of an asking price. The real miss, imo, was Harden. Philly has worse defense but at least Harden won't be a whole liability offensively.
The most irritating part of this all if you are Philly fan is how Ben dosen't seem to take much responsibility

Not sure how true it is, but some reports that I read suggest that Fertitta wasn't trying to make a deal with Morey. If this is true, he let personal feelings get in the way of business.
