It looks like RJs most valuable contributions might come off the court this year.

Only Embiid and Curry scored in the 2nd half for the Sixers
...Everytime Doc goes with the all bench lineup in the 2nd and 4th quarters, the Hawks go on a run. Here is the bottom line, the Sixers were touted as a contender because they have 2 young superstars. The fact is, Simmons is playing like a role player. 4-14 from the line? A complete liability on the offensive end. Over the last game and a half, he had played more quarters, 6, than shot attempts, 5.
Philly blew it by not trading for Lowry when they had the chance...
This still cracks me up!
🤣

Jeff was a very good coach here.
Pretty shocking about Rick Carlisle. For my money Luka and him dragged the Mavs to the playoffs. We'll see.

Their failure is almost complete. If it weren't for half the NBA needing a coach I'd want to pay top dollar to snag him as an assistant.
Stunned by Carlisle move
Based on nothing, I suspect he lands with the Celts, but maybe Pels
I'd be happy if Luka lands in NY

If he resigned (versus getting fired) I'm assuming he would need Cuban's permission to pursue other gigs?
Luka is one of the top 5 players in the league and Rick Carlisle decides to step down? Whatever job Rick gets next, odds are strongly against him coaching a more talented player. Something is up....
If the Bucks get bounced, I can see Carlisle in Milwaukee....
I think Jamahl Mosely slides over a seat and takes over as the Mavs HC
There will be a game 7 in Brooklyn.

Carlisle is old school and perhaps Luka is a mega diva in the making and Rick decided to eject before the inevitable blow-up happened? Whoever is selected as the new coach will be very telling regarding how much control Luka has in the organization.

I don't know if there is a Luka-Carlisle straight line but factor in the departure of GM Donnie Nelson too. If your close friend/GM gets fired or was moved out, writing is on the wall that there is a lot of internal strife within that organization. Carlisle been there a long time. I'd point more towards Cuban and on down

Ridiculous! Wonder if it's the injury risk or something they've become aware of since signing him. Maybe the Pacers might return to trying to trade Miles Turner plus something else for him
It's been odd watching Ben Simmons turn into Jared Jeffries- is it that back injury he got last year? Complete confidence collapse? The Harden rumours early in the season?

I dunno. Would people trade Randle and three first rounders for Zion? How far do the Knicks go as just a Zion-RJ duo for the next 7 years?

Buyers remorse. Last offseason I commented on Hayward and gallinari in particular. Though I suspect there will be more. Fine players but contracts for many guys were nuts
Now we’ll face that dilemma w Julius
