stay positive guys.

Randle shit the bed and it still came down to the wire. Trae played lights out

I'd rather have Randle play poor in game 1 and great in game 7.

MooK @ 5/23/2021 10:13 PM
Facts. That has to be part of the gameplan. He's the worst defender in the league. He literally can't guard anyone. RJ got a touch with Trae on him in the post and abused him. They should be attacking him constantly. Run him thru screens, put him in the pick n roll, post him up. Make his little ass work and cut off that right hand.

Thank you - when RJ is being guarded by Young, you have to post him up- we should simply look to attack him, get him to get into foul trouble.

Randle played horrible-/ that’s why we lost. But we gotta be super loyal w Randle and positive about the team. We’re gonna win

Nobody running Randle out of town, but his worst act wasn’t being off, but pushing and pushing bad move after another. RJ wasn’t good either, but at least he passed to others because of that.

Being the man got into his head and he has to remember we won because we played like a team and he passed all the time. He did a really bad impersonation of Payton out there.

PresIke @ 5/23/2021 10:44 PM
No panic.

Not the best but some good signs.

When Bogdanovic hit that 3 on a good defensive sequence, I agree with Barkley on at least this that we had the game.

This is going to be a series.

Randle will come good, but we know he's a bit sensitive and I almost expected him to have a bad game 1 with all the hype.

I was VERY wary of those going to how he obliterated the Hawks as a sure fire reason for our advantage in the series.

Defense was not the best and they came to play, especially Trae.

Burks, IQ and DRose were very impressive.

Obi and RJ also showed me reason for hope.

Noel had some ups and way more downs than he has and Bullock I feel will be better as well. Those two on might have been more key than Randle off.

Shame Mitch is not available.

Watch us win the next 2 or 3 games.

Thibs was also not his best either.

We get production out of Julius and this series is massively different.

Hooolld tight.

JesseDark @ 5/23/2021 10:45 PM
We gotta make all of our free throws. Too many 1 out of 2. Gotta find someone who can stay in front of Trae. Pic and roll killed us.

Ohh, I can blame Frank and Payton and Randle and Thibs....

All were bad, especially Randle and Thibs. No way can we allow Trae to beat us. Thibs should forced the ball out of his hands and made someone else to beat us....Frank is a good defender but Trae had it going at that point. Trae rejected the pick and went the other way...Great offense will typically beat good defense...With that said, we have struggled defending the pick and roll all year....Thats on Thibs.

In the end, their elite player played like an all star, ours didn't.

TPercy @ 5/23/2021 11:21 PM
Nah the more I watch that play the more I think Frank needs to donate his salary.
martin @ 5/23/2021 11:34 PM
I don't know what Trae thinks preening around the court after the end of the game gets him but he does have one of the more punchable faces in the NBA

It gets him my respect and the hope he gets his hands on a bottle of finasteride before it's too late.

Nalod @ 5/23/2021 11:52 PM
You guys looking for blame? Looks like ATL just had more weapons. How about they just fucking won the game instead of trying go figure how we “LOST”...
Randle looked slow and some bad shots but Despite knicks played a hell of a game. Nobody stays in front of Trae and they ran a great play to take out the help defense. It was exciting and the end sucked. We called out Trae Young and he delivered.
Thibs got out coached because ATL had more to throw at KNicks.

I guess it's a good sign that I had to look up what finasteride was

We taking this in 5 games

When Capella was moving over to double Randle and Randle was looking befuddled with his dribble that's where we could use a sure handed 7 footer in the pivot to make the Hawks pay. Instead we have Too Short Gibson and Stone hands Noel. They've filled-in admirably for Mitch but they don't replace Mitch.

Couldn’t agree more

We were outmuscled on the boards last night and we really missed Mitch. Noel had a very good regular season but he’s simply not as good as Mitch

Biggest Frank fan ever he was awful on that last ATL possession. Young is not a lefty why are you biting on his fake?

BillTheButcher @ 5/24/2021 7:16 AM
Randle(brought me back to Starks game 6 in Hou ) and missed FTs cost the Knicks this game. This is the type of crushing loss that teams sometimes do not recover from. Going to really find out what this team is made of in game 2 .
Clean @ 5/24/2021 7:19 AM
Watching Elfrid play has got me dreaming of a scenario where Luca Vildoza comes in and helps us with a deep playoff push. I know it will never happen but Luca is currently in Quarentine and I need something to keep me from thinking about how bad Elfrid is.
Nalod @ 5/24/2021 7:24 AM
Trae was clutch. NObody in the NBA can stay in front of him. There was either a breakdown of help or ATL executed to freeze out whom ever was suppose to cover. If so, they beat us.
Thibs kept a short leash on Payton and he was made gone.
The defense on Randle was tight and he forced it a bit at times.
Despite Bullock gone cold and Paytons ugly game the knicks ere right there at the end. Trae young is the real deal. His hair and face might be ugly but his game came thru in a hostile arena. Gallo was off, but Bogno was incredible. We did not lose that game, they won it from us. It hurts.

Those are good ideas, I am with you. Except we have no such plays in our offensive playbook. We have not ran a single off the ball screen the whole season it seems

Actually, I can. He had one job and he got abused.

You can't! When u never gave Frank any playing time throughout the season vs top scoring opponents guards.

Make all the excuses you want. He had his chance and he came up small.

As soon as I seen frank, I knew he was going to get beat on a PnR, i figured if he doesn't just blow by him, he'll surely fouled him.
