Knicks · How about mitch Robinson and picks 19/21 (page 1)

For jaylen brown?
Let bullock walk
Resign Burks Rose
Draft a c at 32
Nalod @ 5/25/2021 10:24 PM

I’m thinking Boston might see Brown a bit more value?
But since we in that dream world, maybe they can toss in Tatum to sweeten the pot? Just kidding.

boston has its 1st and 2nd round picks this year. Reality that gives them 4 picks this draft. Not sure thats a good idea.
Your gonna have to throw in Obi or IQ to make that a non laughable trade. If AInge does that deal I’d fire his ass before he could pull the trigger. Nobody is telling me Mitch’s foot is stable either? OR browns wrist?

EwingsGlass @ 5/25/2021 10:34 PM
I don’t see the Celts making a trade with us. Unless it’s robbery.

I think there is a lot of value at 19/21 and 32. Makes sense to consolidate assets, but if not, I really think guys like Dosunmu and Greg Brown are great picks for the Knicks where they can get a year of NBA level coaching under their resumes, work on their weaknesses. Think both have huge upside.

This is literally got 0 percent chance of happening.

Remember the Knicks considered trading back from 3 when RJ was drafted, but declined because the best they could do 8 and 10 from Atlanta

So you think the Celtics are going to do that really..?

If you were Boston (who refused to trade Brown for Harden), would you honestly trade him for 2 mid firsts and Mitch?

You are constantly "looking" for new centers because Mitch "is not the solution for us". I doesn't know who you haven't already mentioned is "better than Mitch"...and then you come up with the idea that for Mitch, who "is not good", and two non-lottery picks you get Brown...interestingly set values.

Knicksfan @ 5/26/2021 4:44 AM
No trades with Boston. They want to win every trade so it’s not gonna be a reasonable deal. They’ll probably want to start discussion with RJ. Do don’t even pick up the phone.

Boston would certainly like to talk about Mitch if we want to trade him for some non-lottery pick or something. As for Brown, I think they would only give him in a trade for some superstar.

Philc1 @ 5/26/2021 8:30 AM
Why would the Celtics trade Jaylon Brown to us let alone for that package?

We missed our one chance at getting Brown 4 years ago when Ainge offered him to Phil for KP

Given the talent that IQ is, and the potential he has to be a game changing talent, I'd rather see what our FO can find again in the first round with those picks.

I'm ok with trying to package picks to move up.

Ultimately we are going with this approach. I don’t see any superstars asking to come here this offseason. Lonzo, who I consider a good player but not a superstar, will want to come here but let’s see what happens

Knicks have hit on late first rd/second round picks in recent years (IQ, Mitch)

5-D chess, Boston *wants* to win trades but they have lost out on many recent trades and will be slobbering at any trade now!

Time for Danny to “rest”? He had a long run and his heart issue can’t helped with the stress of the occupation. On paper they made solid choices. They just did not pan out.
Covid season aside the Haywood thing was a stroke of bad luck and the Kemba signing was a bit an over reach.
Blame alone is not the reason to replace Ainge. Just wonder if he up to it still.
