Knicks · Thought we had the best player and better defense (page 1)

I hope that NY can pivot. The line up change whatever anyone wants to say did not work. I think we need to go back to the line up that worked regular season OR start Frank to play harder D on Trae Young. Im surprised with a defensive orientated coach wouldnt have tried this already.

We need better defense--theyre getting what they want--open shots all over. Not the Knicks I knew this year. They need to try something different defensively on Young

This quote is from a thread you started a few days ago....If the Hawks are flat-out better, going back to a player who scored 1 point in 5 minutes is not going to make a difference.

Talent prevails in a best of 7. We may be able to will ourselves to a W @ home, but its a long shot for us to come back and win this series. Not only are the Hawks more skilled than us on the offensive side of the ball; the Hawks have also been better than us on the defensive side of the ball so far in the playoffs. Not a good sign for us...

1 horrendus foul call on Barrett away from this being 2-2. How that foul wasn't overturned I have no fucking idea

I don't know how anyone can discount that both Mitch is out and Noel is hobbling.

And then when you add Rose to the starting lineup, everything changes regarding the defense. It just takes one link in the chain. Not saying he is the cause of everything but let's not discount reality with Rose and defense

Rose in starting line up has changed the structure of the team for the worse. Not on Rose

BRIGGS, no offense, but you've been wrong about literally everything this season (though to be honest most of us got a lot of stuff wrong), from the draft (Nesmith, Wiseman), to IQ, to us being a terrible team, to us being a dark horse championship contender- it's been a series of wrong takes!

I hope we can pivot too- don't want the journey to end and I don't want to go out like this!

You're the one that said you didn't believe in waiting for young players to develop and passed judgement on our picks after 3 preseason games! I'm liking this new, patient BRIGGS

Joking aside, I don't think it's fair to judge any rookie after this season (no summer league, little practice, high density of games, no crowds).

I didn't think Wiseman's stats looked too bad but a lot of fans and writers who watched the Warriors really don't like him at all. Nesmith also got a lot of heat- think he had a few decent games near the end, but was (like Obi), almost unplayable for a long stretch.
