He’s known as a defensive player first. His offense came around later.

It’s still not convincing. I worry about how he’ll do against much quicker players but it’s good to know he’s not a liability and will be able to stay on the floor.
I like Duarte and I really like that he shut it down so early. He might actually make it to 19

Or he might have a promise from a team with a higher pick. Can't really read he's situation right now.

True, but I am hoping it’s the Knicks. We need shooters and guaranteed talent. Ideally we would split on the picks. Grab a sure thing with a high floor and then take a flyer with a high ceiling. Duarte is that high floor.

I’d like
Duarte
Bassey
And either Robinson or Prcakin

A nice combination of size and two way play. Id like to see the team get a little bigger

I agree. This falls in line to Exactky what I’m looking to see if we don’t move up.
Guys they might reach for to shoot for high upside potential
1. Zaire Williams
2. Sharife cooper
3. Cam Thomas
4. Tre mann
5. Ayo dosunmo
These will be the surprise picks that will stun me not In a good or bad way. Just stunned 😳 lol
Combine time!!!
Let’s see some real measurements!!

I’m not sure that I want smaller players. I like ayo and we need another pg.
I’m very high on bassey. He’s an under rated prospect and fits our team as a rim protector but has similar perhaps better offensive skills to a miles turner
Duarte just seems like a guy who will get drafted way too low because of his age. This year’s Desmond Bane. There was never any question Bane was going to be a rotation player on a playoff team. Bane is a 3&D guy who defends multiple positions and also can handle the ball. Guys like Dillon Brooks, Malcolm Brogdon etc are 2-way players that can do everything well and nothing spectacular that fall through the cracks simply because of age and lack of perceived upside. Duarte is that player this year at the wing.

I liked bane last year pre lottery 😅
we may not keep bullock or burks. Duarte can step in for cheap. Keep control of His skill set for 4 years at a reasonable price.
With the next pick shoot for sone kind of high upside potential player.
The third pick I like bassey.
2/3 should see extensive g league work since allegedly coach doesn’t prefer Rookies😅
I’ve researched picks 5-18 extensively. I don’t really think any are worth moving up for. ( ok maybe one or 2 lol) I would rather take my odds that 1/3 (19-32) will be a real player for us.
