Not as exciting/nerve wracking for us this year for a change!
But if the lottery is rigged, guess who ends up top 4 with reasoning and we'll see what happens!
My guesses would be: Raptors as a thanks for agreeing to be in Tampa Bay (likely 4th)
Rockets (owner is in huge dire financial problems)
Minnesota DO NOT land a top 3, so the Warriors get their pick, to help them out by allowing them to trade 2 firsts with Wiseman for a vet that can help them win now (Warriors were meant to be a huge cash cow for the league, so it can't afford to see them rot on the vine)
OKC fall out the top 4 to punish tanking, but they have so many firsts they'll likely package them plus SGA to trade up to get Cade
Ha, just realised it's 2021, thread title should be: 'NBA Draft lottery 2021' - this pandemic has taken it's toll on me!

Well its for the 2022 season so its all good
A bit conspiratorial for me to wrap my head around.
I’m in the camp the odds are there. seems Cade is destined to OKC that he played his college ball in OK. Seems to work that way? LOL
Fertitta in dire straights gets a pick? Fact is he blew it up to rebuild where he could have kept a competitive team and came back. League does want its franchises to stay strong for resale but they are a lottery team and likely get a good player.
They are banking on Nets not having a long reign and the picks they got will be good in a few years.
Clev is in the mix?
Steph curry is a big star in any event. Warriors build their new palace and are very strong in their market.
We all know a strong Knicks team is great for the league yet we get no love by the lottery gods. Makes me think the conspiracy is not legit. The league is owned by the teams and you’d have to have all bought in each year to work this lottery thing out. Not sure Dolan would be down for that anymore. Sure we got Ewing 36 years ago but that was another lifetime. Since then we get skunked.
With no proof there is nothing but our opinions. But when you connect the dots, it does seem viable.
Except when you pick Anthony Bennett of course!!!!
For once we won’t be watching the draft lottery just to end up with the 8th pick

Ha, correct, though probably we'll see this years team with the 7th/8th spot jump up to the top 3

It is indeed conspiratorial, but I thought this year, instead of justifying things retrospectively, I'd predict them instead, then I can conclusively be proved wrong and will never suspect a draft conspiracy again!
OKC are so well placed in the draft for years- if they don't move up in the lottery, they can package a tempting mix of picks to move up via trade, think Cade to there is very likely
I wish we had a dog in this fight but since we don’t… I just hope the Raptors move up. I don’t want the Knicks to have to deal with any of those top 4 kids for the next few years.
Cade would be a great fit in Houston. Magic and the Warriors have a chance to be the biggest winners of the night and end up with 2 top 10 picks.
Smackdog was right! The Raptors get top 4
Welcome to Detroit, Cade!
Magic get 5 and 8. They can get good really quick! Isaac coming back next year as well.
So...does this mean Collin Sexton is now definitely on the market?

Maybe. Could also see Orlando package something to move up and then Cavs take Minga

Cade and Hayes is gonna be a really interesting pairing. I also highly doubt they trade Jerami now.

idk, I'm thinking the teams are locked in at 1 - 3. Maybe Orlando can move up to four?
Owners got tired at Tillman whining about how leveraged he is and threw him a bone.

I love how the Rockets are a top level playoff team for years are in the lottery once and pick 2. We suck for a decade and pick 3rd once
I like where the Knicks are picking— we’ll get 2-3 good players
