You give him carte blanc to the NY media and to MSG and mainly to this young team and you waiting for a disaster to happen. Hes a clown and he will bring his circus. Now ufa or tradewise I dont want to give up obi, rj ,mitch, randle, rose, burks, iq,noel. but i would give frank, knox and any draft picks for dame, dont know about sexton.
Trading for Dame with just Frank, knox and a boatload of picks i think can be considered a pipe dream
well its my pipe dream
I like any dream where we get something (actually anything) back for Frank and Knox.
Would keep the picks though. IMO, the board needs some new young busts to fight over.
You know frank and knox have no real value, even if you attach 5 1st round picks..

Bringing back Barrett, Bullock, Randle, Robinson, and Gibson should give the Knicks a good base defense, what I am looking for are playoff performers who can help the Knicks next June. My best guess is that the Knicks go for Reggie Jackson, Alec Burks, Carmelo Anthony, and DMC. Those guys get signed for two year deals, get the Knicks to the second round next season, and then become trade fodder for the KAT/ DLo trade in January of 2023.
Agree with what you are saying but why KAT? Seems redundant since we are already crowded at pf
KAT is a center, so not a problem.
He is the guy. I'm just connecting the dots between KAT's history, the Leon Rose/ Thibs hire, Randle, DLo, and Kats friendship, the wolves getting new owners and a new more exciting face of the franchise in Anthony Edwards.
Lonzo Ball (PG) and Duncan Robinson (SF) throughout Free Agency.
(we only ranked 21st in made 3's).
Sharife Cooper and Tre Mann throughout the draft (#19 and #21).

Those players won't get us to the 2nd round without injuries from the teams above us. The Bucks, Nets, and Sixers are still way better and the Hawks have a better roster too.
No pipe dreams? Likely not going to be a very exciting off season. Media sets expectations and we run with it.
Knicks do their job by trying but does not mean they execute a big deal.
Lillard is most likely if traded involved with Philly for Simmons in some kind of deal.
I doubt we sign 4 players we draft and can see trading two picks with someone for Sexton.
Nola has a nice amount of picks from AD and Holiday trade but perhaps something with a sign and trade with Lonzo. Nothing expensive for us.
The hype machine usually disappoints but the real deal is the on court performance! We need back court help!
Think we sign Lonzo Ball to offer sheet that Pelicans do not match or do sign & trade.
Re-sign Alec Burks. Trade our 2 1st rounders and move up to draft Bouknight.

I think Pels match whatever we offer Lonzo even if it’s $100 million. Otherwise the owner is admitting Zion is gone in 1-2 years after the nba had just rigged the draft to get him

This is another reason to not make BALL a priority.

Yeah, it looks NO is as desperate as the Knicks for a PG and Lonzo, at least on his own, isn't the answer.
If NO tries to cut salary on draft night, it will be a sign that they intend to enter FA, and then it would be open season on Lonzo and Hart.
Let me start with the point that i am a huge fan of RJ, so i hope this doesn't happen. But i continue to think our team will be off balance once we get a legit attacking pg, and i think Thibs wants a guy who will attack and touch the paint collapsing things on every possession.
wondering if a trade centered around RJ and Fox makes sense. Knicks then turn to a more reliable shooter for SG. RJ's shooting #s improved but a lot of that was him avoiding dumb shorts, which is not doubt an improvement, but it's not like he turned into paul pierce who can knock down shots when the team absolutely needs it.

I just think any proposal involving Randle or RJ, karmaicly, would devastate the franchise. I'm about 80% of the way there with Rose, Gibson, and Quickly too.

I agree on the karma and would love to see RJ turn into his own version of Butler. That said, this type of a trade would provide more balance to both rosters. Would take some nads to pull it off though
