RJ's shot is looking real nice man. I am getting excited about seeing him take another step next season.
High hopes for RJ
If there is a scenario where the knicks can trade for Simmons while keeping Randle, RJ, Mitch and Walker, could adding Simmons push the needle for the knicks. Somehow there is a theory if you surround Simmons with 3 other shooters that line up might work. How will a line up of Mitch, Randle, RJ, Simmons and Kemba stack agains the top 3 teams in the east?
Maybe a package of Evan, Noel, Obi, knox, IQ and 2-3 1st round picks for Simmons and Maxey?

I actually think we could get Simmons for a package involving IQ, Obi, Mitch plus picks plus a contract to make sure salaries match the problem is I’m sure the 76ers are hesitant to trade him inside of the conference especially to a team that is geographically in the neighboring market

I want no part of Simmons. If he can't handle his coach calling him out after the miserable play off series he had, how will he handle the pressure of playing in NYC, with the media and the pressures that bring, as well as playing for a coach like Thibs who is just as old school and winning as Rivers?
Not to mention his contract, and the fact he can't shoot! If he had responded well to Rivers critique, he would have spent the summer working on his shooting. I recall reading he did not make himself available to the Sixers staff to check in or work with them on an off season program.

We don't really know what he did or did not do off season but you bring good points. Salary alone makes for a hard fit even if we wanted. We'd have to use recent free agents to make a deal which cannot happen until December.
But.........
As the 4th offensive option at age 25 he could bring a lot if we are not trading Randle or RJ. Philly would want something that keeps them relevant and we don't have that. Even RJ is not ready for that kind of prime time. For all Simmons faults, they were top team in east last year.
If he embraces Thibs and has the work ethic/maturity then its a different story.
Its low probability and doubtful such a trade can happen but if we can do that without losing our core I'd consider it.

76ers would laugh at your offer
I definitely would not like the the Knicks, he's unplayable at the end of games.
While also giving up their main ball handler who is a fantastic defender and all star to replace him with....?
Why does IQ, Obi, Mitch plus picks make sense for Philly?

Morey needs a dude like McCollum to at least bring in a starter of substance. As bad as Simmons is, he is as mentioned allstar who played big role in top record in east.
Teams with Depth like ATL can make a deal but not return an allstar caliber player.
Maybe Its time for Rivers to step down as coach if it offers a path for reconciliation. Not for blame assignment, but for to good of the team. Simmons sitting won’t help. Most trades won’t give them a win now player. Simmons next to McCollum in POrtland if they move Lillard could be a nice move. Thing is, Portland I think is rolling with Dame going forward.

They have a disgruntled all star who is at his lowest value trade wise. The best deal for the sixers would be Simmons for MC collum and stuff. Other than that, the market is not hot on Simmons so Robinson to backup embid who is due for a few games off, a good 3pts shooter in IQ and if they believe in obi, more depth and picks. While also giving up their main ball handler who is a fantastic defender and all star to replace him with....?

This is not a great deal for them but I doubt they get a much better offer.
Nonetheless, I really wish the Knicks don't make this offer.

Rivers thinks that maybe Morey should step down if he can't figure out a trade.

LOL pretty much all the other viable offers would be better.

A fair trade would be Hield and Tyrese for Simmons. Flawed as Simmons is he a multi year all star on a multi year contract. Hield and Tyrese are nice but neither may ever be a all star level player. Flipside both guys would fit like gloves next to Embiid and Harris.

Agreed. Simmons wouldn’t work out here.

We all understand that trade negotiations don't occur through the media, right? You think Sac will show their cards and just say out loud that they would include Haliburton in a trade or that any other team wouldn't step forward with a Ben Simmons offer?

Please let us know how Philly's new roster construction would make it worth while for them. Again, trading away a 2 time all defensive player and main ball handler for a C who would become a backup and is an unrestricted FA, backup PF, and a backup undersized shooting guard would work.
