I think I missed by a few days. I signed up 07/24/01 and it was either the day it started or a day later. I was in high school spending my summers playing basketball, mowing lawns and painting. We had our own version of Big 3 with sprewell, Houston and Camby. We have been struggling for good Knicks basketball for most of the 20 years but hope this is the beginning of good times again. I still mow and paint (just my own house for no money) and play ball for fun. 35 now with a wife and 2 year old. Crazy I have spent more than half of my life on this site. I love it though. Thanks for the constant Knicks conversations. It’s excellent downtime for me when I have a toddler laying with me.
Wow 20 years! Congrats Martin and Andrew! You made it a long way from JVG's Civic! I lurked for a while till I joined, and I've been here on and off over the years, but its been a good ride even though the Knicks have sucked beyond words for most of the time ultimateknicks has been around! I have great memories from of the UK get togethers over the years. Really good group here.

First sign up day was indeed 7/24/2001 and you were literally one of the first to register after Andrew and me - I don't think I ever realized this. I can't believe it has been that long.
I want to say the old NYTimes and perhaps Newsday forums were in their last throws of chaos and their mods were shutting everyone down?

Joined when the Spree versus Houston war was in full swing. Then the format changed and had to re-join. Or something. I've enjoyed having someplace to vent and enjoy the highpoints over the past 20 years, while reading all the whining complaints.
Anyway, very first post got me called "hammer bag". It's been all downhill from there. 
This site, you guys. This is the one place on internet I check, all day, every day. Thank you Martin and Andrew and thank you everyone who posts here. You all are like a second family to me at this point. Let's keep going for at least another 20

Thanks for everything martin, Andrew and all the posters over the years- watching us all lose our innocence and age about 50 years during the IT years when it slowly dawned he and his approach was a disaster, we used to love his trades and talk of adding ‘length and girth’- all those “kiss the rings” memes when he pulled off the Eddy Curry esq trades
I wonder how I first found this site. And so soon after it went up. I think it may have just been chance… that I was searching for forums in Google.
Or maybe I was Googling something team related, and a UK forum topic popped up. That makes the most sense.
How the world has changed since then. And my hairline. ****.
To be honest I had been coming to Ultimate Knicks for years because I liked how they consolidated all the Knicks news on one site. For years did not even know there was a forum. I had been a member of the NYK NY Times forum for years before that went away(1999 or 2000 don't remember). The comradery here along with the battles remind me a lot of that group.
I don't always post but love to read, so this is a great platform to get varying opinions...
