When he wins a ring with the nets next season they can gloat about him shooting 39% from 3
where on NBA 2k22

Yeah on less attempts than the 50 he had here.
That's actually surprisingly a large amount considering how we only played him in the very last minute of each game, it seems.
He had a $7mm qualifying offer. He is not getting that on the open market so it made no sense to extend that to him, even if they did want to keep him. At this point he needs to play on a prove it deal for anyone in the league, or if he wants to make more $$ he goes to Europe. Takes a big cap hold off the books for us.
The ex-girlfriend syndrome
Sometimes a relationship always seemed a change or two away from working out, but it just never did. Wanna lose another year of your life trying and staying in the same place?
I think Frank’s time in NY has run its course. There’s been enough time to try to change this, but the result is always the same. If a coach like Thibs, who seemed the perfect fit for Frank, couldn’t get what we wanted out of him, it will hardly happen. And even if it does happen on his next team, it will just mean that it just wasn’t gonna happen in NY.
Follow Frozen’s mantra: LET IT GO.
Yeah. I am still hoping Frank works out here. Sue me.
Good fucking riddance. He should’ve made the switch to a 3 and D guy, but insisted on what’s best for him and stubbornly remained a point. Him sticking around should’ve been easy—work with H20 on his shot and shutdown the other team’s best wing… this is what happens when you draft based on measurements

Then you should Lawyer up dude because he's not even better then Grimes, Luca or mcbride
I liked the Frank who showed up once or twice a month and played with intensity- not so much passive Frank who would pass the ball up at midcourt with next to zero pressure, or would injure his groin every time he got an opportunity

So much vitriol man. Damn.

I'm with you.
I get it - he definitely had opportunities this season and just couldn't make the most of them. Thought he had finally shaken off his deer in the headlights phase, but then the shot would not fall. He's not a PG. He can defend them, but can't make the in game decisions needed to run an offense.
At the end of the day, he's still got the tools to be a serviceable role player. Got to be a way to make it way. Defense can be downright suffocating.
Hoping a 1 year deal can be worked out. If not, I hope he can piece it together on another team (preferably not in our division...)

And if you think he would get anywhere NEAR that many attempts on Team Barklay's BlackHole to the Third Power, you're insane.

Remember when the Frank haters blamed him for us losing game 1? That was a tough 9 seconds

There's the argument that because he couldn't pass Elfrid on the depth chart he failed. In the games he played big minutes or started he was productive. I thought his defense was improved as well. His biggest issue is that he can't put pressure on the rim except for dunks. I think he's still younger than a lot of rookies but who knows. In Thibs we trust.
with the Kember signing I can now breath a sigh of relief that this kid will remain in france
I was hoping he'd be back, but agreed, looks like Kemba seals it.
That French national team got to be a little awkward right about now...
Since haters gotta hate, where are they going to go since it seems Frank and Elf are gone. Randle if he regresses? Fournier if he gets off to a slow start? Kemba, Knox, Obi?
Stay tuned....

The thing about it is when your winning, there's not much to disapprove of.
It took the 1st 2 yrs for the frank lovers to finally realize he wasn't a pg and they started saying ok he's perhaps 3 & D wing.
Another 2 yrs to realize he takes FTs once a month, never penetrates, and gives up the ball in .02 seconds after crossing the half court line.
The frank lovers also didn't realize that keeping him here was doing more harm to his career than good
