I agree. That’s why I prefer Oubre. It’s just what cost. If Oubre wants to get paid for the player he is supposed to be instead of the player he is. That said, Oubre has Randle-like upside and could be on an all NBA defense squad with his physical skills and attributes.

In my head it’s the same argument for Devonte Graham (or Lonzo Ball, even) over Schroder.

We may end up with Schroder and Fournier. Which is still an offense upgrade over what we had in Payton and Bullock in the starting lineup. If you don’t see the home run pitch, it’s not horrible to take a walk.

Yes he’s much better than both of them. The goal should be to upgrade the team and that’s what he would do. The money needs to be spent. It can only be rolled over for so long.

Yes he’s much better than both of them. The goal should be to upgrade the team and that’s what he would do. The money needs to be spent. It can only be rolled over for so long.

This is my logic here. Would be great if Chris Paul and Kawhi (with a return at half season) wanted to come here and play for the dollars we have to spend. I don’t see that happening. So, instead, you look to improve the team. See what happens during the season.

I’m glad we avoided him. He struggled until he got into an ideal situation behind a hall of famer. That always makes me nervous giving a guy like that a major role.

You think these guys are trade fodder? I'm stunned we spent this much cap space without adding a PG. This same team minus Rose, plus Fournier will be lucky to avoid the play in game. Hawks and Heat will finish ahead us next season

As for Fournier, agree that he is inconsistent at times. Also agree that he is not worth $10m more than Bullock and definitely not $10m more than Burke. Still in the mindset that Burks and Bullock on team friendly deals are the best option. I would rather the Knicks save the $20m and use it towards a true difference maker.

were the rules in 2001 different? Derozan's lack of a 3 is offset by his ability to put the ball on the floor and make you a play. You still need to outscore your opponent. All Derozan does it fill the stat sheet and win you games. I am not sure what Fournier does better than Burks or Bullock and they are bargain bin purchases.

I personally would like to spend the cap space on a player that helps us win games and maybe even something to build on. All this guy does is demand 30 mins a night for this price tag. I am praying this is just rumor

Not different rules but a different game. Post players and mid range players are not the ones having major impacts in playoffs. Unless they are freaks of nature like Giannis. Not questioning if DeMar is a good player. Just questioning if that style of play is the one you want for your BEST player.

Think it's a mute point as it seems like we are eating up cap faster than a fat chick eats cake.
