Knicks · And the worst move of the offseason is... (page 1)

Philc1 @ 8/4/2021 7:53 PM
Bulls signing Derozan. 3 years $85 mil for a 31 year old guy who relies entirely on athleticism and can’t shoot from 3? Lol
unstopaball12 @ 8/5/2021 7:22 AM
Duncan Robinson for me. We saw what happens in the playoffs when guys who were signed are kept in check(Harris)

Derozan complements Lavine and ball well, they got rid also of animus contract.

Nalod @ 8/5/2021 7:32 AM
Bulls give up on Coby White?
Also this notion that Riley can’t do no wrong is inflated. Miami does swing big but when it blows it it does that big to!
Marv @ 8/5/2021 8:00 AM
and on the players' side, the worst move has to be schroeder turning down that 4-year $84M extension!!
Chandler @ 8/5/2021 8:07 AM
cavs have the two worst IMO

1) signing J.Allen for 100 million when they picked Mobley.
2) they seem to have gotten too greedy with Sexton (thankfully as i didn't want him) so they again have an undersized backcourt with the added tension of Rubio

Pelicans get dishonrable mention as well. Zion must be scratching the days on the wall and dreaming of his exit

Pelicans got 3 firsts for Holiday and needed to use 1 for offloading Bledsoe and Adams (plus trade down from 10 to 17) and another pick to downgrade from Ball to Graham. That’s horrendous.

Countdown to Zion coming to the Knicks.

My worst move this offseason is GSW doing nothing to alleviate their salary issues. Maybe they pull something off with Houston for Woods or Toronto for Siakam. But it feels like the Lakers deal for Brodie sucked up a lot of options out there.

I promise you this will be an average salary for this level of player in 3yrs.

Remember the 124 mill melo re-sign for in the height of his prime (22 mill per) by the time that contract ended, it was the average salary for tier 2 players..

I think its more likely we get Ingram back in a trade that gets Zion's bestie RJ to pair up with him in NO

We’ll be trading Randle and picks for Zion in 2 years

$28 mil per for a 33 year old slasher who comes off the bench and can’t shoot? If that’s average I want to be weird

BigDaddyG @ 8/5/2021 3:05 PM
This didn't happen in off-season, but it's impact is being felt now. Dennis Schroeder declining LAs initial offer. The only who could possibly take enjoyment from this is Noel. Now his name won't be first one that pops up when people look up bad FA decisions.

Allen decision not that bad if you think Mobley can play down to 4, which a lot of people think. The #s are what's head scratching. They'll be looking to get out of that deal in two-years.

Worse they also had to trade away Thad Young and a first round pick to overpay him!

still seems bass ackwards though. Mobley was #3 because of his versatility as a center. playing mobley and Allen will also be awkward on offense, no?

but isn't Zion on record for wanting to be at MSG, and who can forget the look on his face on lottery night

plus i want no part of Ingram. Reminds me too much of the too cool for school Wiggins
