We renounced Frank today. 4 years and the longest tenured Knicks.
He spanned 3 presidents, Two GM’s, and 4 coaches.
Curious if he sticks in the league or over seas.
He was the subject of much divide among knick fans.
I wish him the best of luck with his future endeavors.
If I had to guess where he lands if the NBA? Dallas Mav’s. Just a guess.
Second would be SAS, then SAC. I’ll throw Nets in here for karma’s sake.
Wish Frank the best. Sad to see him gone, but excited with our guard rotation next season.
Still a better player than Dennis Smith Jr. Unfortunate for us that that was the benchmark...
I am curious where Frank and DSjr land. DSjr was rumored to be looking at Dallas.
I'm going out with a wild guess, but I would be surprised if he lands an opportunity in the NBA.
Heck, look at Mudiay - he's having to play summer league games for a chance to earn a roster spot, and he put up 14 a game for us! How many games did Frank put up 14 or more in a game? in a week of games!
As much as I pulled for Frank's success here (as opposed to relishing his failure) it can't be ignored it wasn't going to happen here for him. Whatever success he will have remains to be seen (he is still young), but Golden State, San Antonio, or some Western outpost would seem to make the most sense.
I see Frank finding a spot. Not sure about DSJ at this point. He might be the biggest disappointment in Knicks history to me personally.

Yeah on a rec team, oh wait I forgot, he doesn't play pick up ball
He is out of the NBA..done..finito, he barely played on the france team
Frank probably gets one more chance in the league for a team looking for backup defensive help. A team like the Spurs or Toronto would be ideal for him. Best of luck Frank. Thanks for the memories.

I think that ship sailed already, there are guys like Mcbride coming into the league that are aggressive on both ends.
I mean in this draft alone there's probably like 20 guards already better than him..
I hate to say this, but Frank's career was impacted very negatively by the terrible coaching we had for years before Thibs came along.
We lost sooo much player development with the mediocre basketball minds running the show for so long, this is also why I still hold a glimmer of hope for Knox turning it around.
I wish Frank the best...

Thibs playing him for the last minute per game was even worse.
it's very possible his approach is just too tentative for the nba but if so i feel that fizdale did the worst job possible in blowing up his weaknesses.
he's one of the most annoying prospects I can remember watching. He has the ability and the gifts to be in the league awhile IMO. But at the beginning of his career, he had zero confidence. He also insisted that he is a point guard... he needed to get a 3 point shot and smother the other team's best player. If he can be a version of Reggie Bullock he would have been in the league

Should we put Knox in the same category? Not sure he has figured out what his role as a player is, for some reason.
I see Knox as somewhat similar to Frank, though it's hard for us to see how he used to do in practice, and whether his BB IQ is the problem, and not coaching, in his case.

That was the worst possible treatment Thibs could have done. It's like saying, "Hey, you're not even worth any serious garbage time minutes to inflate your trade value...but we want you off the bench so you don't ruin Theo Pinson's vibe..."
Maybe we'll all feel a lot better if we can finally just take a deep breath and just say these words "Frank and DSmith Jr. are not NBA quality players." Another deep breath and repeat and your worries will dissapear.
He stuck because of his defense. Offensively tentative, defensively contributed.
We cannot start a Frank thread until we find the whereabouts of Alonzo Trier.

He is getting a look by the Mavs and will sign for unknown type of contract. Thought to be a make good in camp type deal. Does not say he’ll make the team. Not quite done yet. He gets a opportunity
Perhaps he was playing pickup ball after all? LOL. We all read they were interested in drafting him ahead of Smith.
Hopefully Frank makes the Mavericks. I had him going to the Mavs from the very beginning. He left an impression on them when he played Luka. Also let’s face it. Frank is a young kid that had to face countless coaches and GM changes. Last year he was jerked around by the Knicks organization. Put into tough situations. Going into playoff game cold. We all know the Knicks as an organization sucks and player development was never a priority. Just look at Knox this guy was decent and now he isn’t. System changes bad coaches I mean Fizdale that guy isn’t even high school coaching material. Miller was a decent coach that was bringing something out of the young players and he gets canned.
Frank has to learn if he brings that passive Game with him, he won’t make it. JKidd looks to run so half court won’t cut it. I hope Frank sticks. I’m in Dallas and in way Frank is coming home. Knicks with Luka. We seen Le Bron with Knicks in Cleveland. That was a championship.
I don't see how Frank makes that team. This is like we had Tskitishvili in Training Camp in 09.
