I think it’s 2 negative PCR tests. Supposedly Goodell is talking about not testing players in the NFL now. This should end well

The ethics of that policy- you'd essentially have infected players, travelling the country, infecting people far and wide, in arena's, in clubs, in restaurants, just so it wouldn't effect the NFL's income

Goodell is an idiot. Only commissioner that’s dumber than Silver

Part of me agrees with this - if someone is asymptomatic, why test? If the players are vaccinated and not showing symptoms, they're not at risk.

And most people that are vaccinated are not at risk. We're all going to get it, and then after getting it, we should not be at risk for catching it again.

Yes, a lot of people aren't vaccinated (like how is Kyrie not going to catch it and be sick?) and they are at risk - but they're at risk now whether or not the players are playing and traveling with the team. I mean, are these players just isolating in their home, or going out with their mask on, which is what I think I would probably be doing if I had a positive test, but didn't feel anything.

Now having an arena full, especially indoors, is crazy. They should shut down mass events for like 1 week and see how the rates are after.

Are you serious?

Who cares if one specific player is asymptomatic. That is entirely missing the point. Players who get it most likely will be fine because they are top tier athletes. The problem is that player can spread it to other people. People like Clyde and Rebecca. Which 1 is an older more vulnerable person and the other is a pregnant person. Every decision is not made for only the initial person. When living in a society sometimes you must do things for the greater good.

If everyone thought more about others and got vaxxed immediately we would be past this Covid thing already. The Covid problem is now likely here to stay and will continue to pop up with more variants the longer we go.

I am serious - and as I said, part of me understands the thinking behind it.

Now - I don't think the athletes are asymptomatic because they are athletes - I think the vaccines work! And the boosters work. And the Omicron variant is less virulent.

Remember, the common cold is a coronavirus. If we were testing for the common cold, I'm wondering what would the world look like.

I'm definitely worried about Clyde & Rebecca. But, were they diagnosed because they're being tested every day? Or were they diagnosed because they were sick, coughing, short of breath.

I was driving and I saw someone coughing - and I thought, for all I know, that dude might have it.

This is also very different than the beginning of the pandemic when we had 0 - we have vaccines now and those are working.

But, I agree with you. It is worrying because we only know these people were positive because we are testing, and how prevalent is it out there right now?

‘“They should shut it down……”

Well, I had tickets to Tuesday game vs Pistons. Have not been to MSG is years. I see them in Charlotte 2x a year. This year in. Staying at Midtown and was to take my nephew.

Im pissed and sold my tickets. Cut my loss.

Thing is we all different. not everyone has the same risks and we have choices. Just becuse I don’t want to go, and IM triple infused, does not mean everyone should. My circumstances are not the same. This is my choice.
Do players have a choice? Arena worksers? The businesses supported by games? Venders, suppliers, car park employees, pretzal guy on the street,,,,,,,All have choices. It it worth the risk?

Think for yourselves.

For me, my goal was to minimize my risk, not eliminate it. I was at a wedding, wore mask 60 % of the time. It was a well vaxed mask wearing crowd. This was in Virginia. I will self test. We having dinner wtih frends and family either in private residence or outside cafe. It was cold tonite!
These are my choices. If the NBA players decide they can’t play, they should stop. Maybe it comes to that and it would be a good choice.

Think for yourselves and mind your business about others. Second guessing Silver or others in hindsight is easy. NBA has not been perfect, but how could they be? Whats the standard and precedence to measure?

The better point will be what's holding up his signing of Tony Wroten?
