Things not boding well for the Philadelphia Free Throw Shooters- boring team to watch, and that's before Harden goes into his playoff stinker mode. Weird that the Nets will look like they won the trade even without Simmons being able to play a single game

Listen to the end of Begleys report when he answers how other teams view how Randle is being used here. They pretty much echo my main problem with Thibs. He does not put players in a position to succeed. Burks is better scorer off the bench so lets start him at PG. Randle is a terrible ISO player with terrible shot profile and even worse efficiency. So lets run the whole offense through him instead of turning him into a finisher only. We have 2 of the worse defenders in the NBA? Lets start them in the same backcourt. That starting backcourt combines to make the worst defending lineup in NBA history? Lets keep running it back and hoping for them to learn how to defend.

Philly - with an MVP candidate and 2 other max players - gets owned by Detroit. What a weird world.
And Brooklyn struggled to beat Detroit the other day.
So kudos to the Knicks for their hang-on win in Detroit.

The thing I love the most about Giannis is he gives you the effort and mentality of a role player while being a superstar. Having to watch Randle this year gave me a new appreciation of these qualities in Giannis.

Plus Giannis brings out the Dad Jokes book in the interview session after game and reads out a few.

The Lakers have 3 max players, 5 HOFs... and have a worse record than the Knicks.
Thibs has zero starting level PGs, not much of a C rotation for most of the season, and has his team playing better than the Lakers. Take that for data
Lakers made the moves many fans and media wanted and pressured the Knicks to make.
I believe the Lakers would be in a much better position today if they handed the keys to Westbrook from day 1. Let him eat and have Bron and AD play off of him.
Westbrook has all the keys now and lays a -25 against the Mavs. Thank god he scored 25 points though.
Bronnie probably skipping the rest of the season now that he's out of the playoffs. Another fabulous GOAT move. LMAO
I think Bill Russell once said nothing short of a broken leg or broken back is a good enough excuse.
I would think he comes back to add points to the Kareem chase.
Bron is a lot of things but given his age and miles he is not a cupcake.
he is breaking down but when he plays he is doing it a high level. Its a team game, its not just him.I love Bill Russell and those 11 chips out of 13 makes him the winning GOAT but he’ll tell you its 5 guys on the court. He’ll also tell you why the team game got them chips vs. Wilt.
Did we forget Lakers won a chip with Lebron?
Dude, you don’t have to like him but disrespect the career is a bit jaded. Given your MeloCentric nature and sensitivity I’d think you be past that.
And any look at the Celtics will tell you Russell made the other 4 guys better than they were. And certainly not by taking off games with a sprained ankle when you're on the cusp of missing the playoffs. Bill also owned up to the fact, several times as player/coach, "that the best player I got is me."
If LeQ is playing at that high a level, than why sit out? What does that say about your precious team concept?
I don't disrespect his career. I disrespect anyone spelling out LeQ as the GOAT with all the baggage that goes along with his resume. Russell played while breaking down. Jordan played through all sorts of shit, alot of it of his own doing. They would kill to win. They would kill your favorite pets to get into the playoffs. Okay, not really, but you get the point, hopefully.
Not quite sure what my stated Melove has to do with this conversation, but okay.

Obi's excellent cutting is why I never cared about his 3pt shooting. As long as we have people who hit him on his cuts we are good. His cutting gives movement to a Thibs offense that does not incorporate much off ball movement. I am surprised more people don't notice how much he helps us and how much better he would be with a pass first PG. Quick has improved a ton in his ability to hit Obi on his cuts but I am talking about a gifted passer like Trae or CP3.
Oh wait, that sucks!
Obi is a really great HOF-level cutter!
Oh wait, that was Burks hitting him with the pass in that highlight! Against one of the worst rim defenses in the league!
All Obi needs is CP3 or Trae. Oh wait, there's only two of them in the league!
Next up - Obi runs faster than everyone else!
Especially RandleJuice!
Coming Soon: Obi's defense - shhhhhhhhhh Be quiet!
What the fuck is with this deranged pumping of endless hot air into what so far amounts to this decade's version of Kenny SkyWalker?
Love the dunks, by the way.

I don't get the point of this post. Obi is a role player. Not just a role player he is a young player with very little NBA experience. Are you expecting for him to be an allstar or something? All we are doing is pointing out how his game works and how to put him in a position to be successful.

Last year Randle was 2nd team all NBA. So why would you change that out? You don’t.
This season sucked. In hindsight the team did not live up to its expectation.
The team has responded in spurts and despite all you said they are playing well of late.

You find your reasons to hate on him. No, Lebron is not cut from the same cloth as Bill Russell nor had to face a fraction of what he had to.
You doing the Jordan thing? Jordan took nearly two years off. Lets not forget.
That team was great. In an era of post expansion diluted talent.
Lebron in his 19th year leading the league in scoriing. 38 years old. He has played hurt.
You may not like him, but thats not a reason to disrespect.
Jordan was a massive asshole. I respect what he has done.
Bill Russell was incredible. IN fact makes Jordan look bad. 11 rings, No time off to play baseball and make a movie, Faced racism. Made others better, not bully them.
My rushmore has Him, Jordan, Lebron, Wilt and Kareem.
Personally I don’t love Lebron, but I won’t discount that he puts in the work and has carried teams further than most single players can. Different era’s, different men, different takes and different effects on the game.
Russell had Wilt and some very good teams to slap down.
Kareem came after and was unstoppable! His work on some bad teams should be noted. Epic battles with older Wilt and lakers, unseld, reed, ets. In the era of the big man he was incredible.
Jordan two three peats are incredible! He had Phil. He had Pippen. He has the legend. Bulls were head above the rest. They never had a formitable rival. Detroit aged out. The knicks came close. Sonics and Jazz were good but not close. Ali had Frazier. Celtics had Lakers. Many greats had rivals to match. Jordan and BUlls were great. To what extent?
Lebron had some incredible seaosns. Was miami really that good? Were they deep? No. Did they win 4 titles? No. Bosh was over rated and ray ray was at the end of his run. The hype was there but over rated. Lebron carried them.
Lebron took down 73 win Warriors. That should not be forgotten!

Don't forget: Kemba can ONLY be either a starter or not play at all- there can be no other possible way to use him, and we certainly can't even try him off the bench for 20mins per game and see how he looks- no sir! Just ridiculous stuff from Thibs.

Maybe we're reading different posts and threads, but people are incessantly ranting about stupid things Obi does to either inflate their Randle hate agenda or their Thibs hate agenda or their plain old yoot manlove. Obi's a strong, homegrown leaping maniac with very little in the way of BB IQ (yet) and a doctorate degree from the Kenny AirWalker School of Robotic Jump Shooting. He cuts more than Randle! No shit, what is he supposed to do? He doesn't have 1/10th of Randle's shot and Randle's whole game is that jumper from anywhere with only the occasional drive and dunk. Obi doesn't turn the ball over! Whoopee, the motherfucker doesn't dribble unless he's 12 feet from the basket on a breakaway and the offense doesn't run through him.
Yes, I get it, no one wants to watch Randle iso. Almost everyone wants to watch Obi run, watch Obi dunk, watch Obi doing chin ups off the top of the backboard. Yippee.
Like I said, I'm waiting for the post that points out Obi's defense is better than Ken Bannister's ever was in most 3rd quarters of games during a full moon.
Obi needs the hated Julius' minutes, is what the argument comes down to, in order to reach his full potential. That's not making a case for a role player.

Like I originally stated, I'm not pissing on his entire career! Playing the game for 2 decades as a linebacker man among little boys has been frightening to watch sometimes. I can appreciate his achievements, the same as I do Jordan, the same as I do Iverson. To me, however, Bronnie's negatives are glaring. Which is the whole point of my original post. I also personally consider him a massive asshole. His hypocrisy is probably overexposed in an era of tweets and insipid stupid quotes that not even Jordan had the mechanisms available at his time to deal with. I'm sure Russell had his warts as well, they just weren't emblazoned live in living color on every phone and screen for all to see and denigrate.
I find reasons to hate on him? As you said, you may not love him, but you sure do find reasons to love on him.
If you love someone, criticism on that someone can be hard to bear.
Then again, if he donned the blue and orange, my whole outlook would probably change.
