Yeah, or that thumbs down faker one-hit wonder Randle who played out of his mind that whole season.
Or that DisabledListRose fool's gold salvation act.
Or RJ shooting lights out from 3.

And I bet Theo was really already gone by the time the playoffs with Atlanta rolled around, right? Right? That was a mannequin actually getting all those DNP's. I'm sure if Theo was really there, Trae would have folded like a cheap paper straw...

I mean, we did see it with CP3 Theo's track record as winner is proven!

With a history of spousal abuse, dui's, problems with teammates, Kidd would seem to be in that long line of "Excellent Coach, Amateur Human Being."

Genuinely have no idea who's going to make it to the finals or even win once there, nice to have such unpredictability

Ironically, Phoenix could have drafted this guy #1 overall instead of Ayton

The Mavericks should hold onto Luka. I could see him developing into a Rokas-type talent.

Bullshit. He was an arrogant prick whose number was up in brooklyn and they booted his ass in Milwaukee.
You can’t fathom that a coach can evolve his coaching acumen and his personality? Kidd had a great base to coach but like many great players it does not translate. He is to be commended for not quitting and moved forward. Many players give it up and go into announcing.
Strong constitution to improve. Not under rated. Give the man his due. He crushes interviews for sure!!! Lol1

Milwaukee Bucks 2013 season- 15 wins
Milwaukee Bucks 2014 season - 41 wins(Kidd takes over as head coach)

Developed Giannis. Got the nets to the second round. And is now doing a great job in Dallas. You want to curse me out fine but you are again obviously wrong

He put the ball in giannis’s hands as primary handler. Changed the player and team in fundamental ways. Dallas team chucked KP. THJ is out. And here they are in western finals. Youre very wrong on this as far as coaching.

Not arguing about his being a prick and that’s probably a main reason why he gets dumped. It’s also clouded your judgment

Nalod @ 5/18/2022 8:12 AM
Thats not a cussing BTW.
To your point, if Kidd did have good coaching years how is he under rated? In fact you undermine his qualities when you say that.
I alluded to his issues that got home “good riddanced” from Brooklyn and fired from Milwaukee.
Under rated would be not much would be expected from him. One hires a coach to improve from the previous.

As for Mark Jax, who also demonstrated good coaching acumen but poor relations skills he has yet to get another gig. That Kidd took the assistant job with Lakers and maybe got coaching himself, or therapy to work on his interpersonality skills is impressive. Mark Jax really had issues as coach. He had problems delegating (control), was paranoid, was arrogant, did not get along with his coaches and front office, was a vocal minister whose wife ran a church which is not a problem at all. Having an extra marital affair while promoting doing the work for the lord kinda is a bit of dichotomy and not good public relations. Not judging what a man does in his private life, but when your raising money for a church and preaching morality as a public figure its not quite the leadership qualities you want anymore. I don’t know why he has not gotten another chance. He interviews but has he not demonstrated that he furthered himself to potential employers? Rumored Jax was want by SAC owner but FO got the not to make the call and took MIke Brown whom more than has earned another chance. There might be a guy who is under rated. He was fired by Clev and Lakers not for performance but for roster construction and lack of charasmatic qualities? He has interviewed plenty and more than deserving of taking a good job. Guy like Kidd who has gotten more than the benefit of the doubt is not underrated. I hope he does well.

you're both trying to change the topic to Mark Jackson and also playing(hopefully) dumb

kidd is underrated because he's rarely given credit for creating Giannis in his current form. He added a ton of wins to that team.

SImilarly in Dallas -- where Luka supposedly arrived this season out of shape -- he also added wins and has them in the West finals while missing one of their key pieces THJ and scuttling another KP. I don't recall anyone ever predicting anything remotely close to this for the Mavs pre-season or because of the addition of Kidd.

Jackson was not a good coach. Kerr added a lot of wins to the same roster. Luke Walton won with that roster. there's a reason Jackson hasn't gotten another chance. He's not good.

Jax was given credit for curry. Jax was not a bad coach, he was an asshole. He was credited to taking the team as far as he could to a 55 game win season. Remember, this was before it all came together. Credit due.
He was not fired for being a bad coach. HE was fired for divinding his staff, front office, and some players.
Kidd was given credit for Giannis by Giannis too! Nobody said he was bad coach. The personality traits is what got him made gone.
ANd..........because his acumen was held in high regard he has now been hired three times. Thats not "Underratted". Thats recognizing the talent.
Im not changing the talent, I am creating Contrast. Jax has yet to win another job despite efforts. Kidd got hired by Lakers and demonstrated growth to get another go. Jax broadcasts and is very good at it. Maybe if he had gone and done what mike brown did, or D'antoni, and became an assistant and showed his goods, he'd gotten another chance.
Kenny Smith wanted to be a GM and interviewed. he is no doubt very smart but he also has not worked in a front office either, and thus has not shown proficiency as an executuve. Its easy to give opinions but another to be accountable.

..........On the semis. Historically im fatigued by Celtics and Heat success. Hard to dislike Spo and I respect what he has done over the years. Jimmy Butler is nuts, but in a good way. I'd like to see him win. That was some performance he put in. Spo is only 51 years old. Riley should let him take a gap year. or half a season off. Its freaking Grind!
Warriors are favored but their core is now older and can't say the odds of them staying healthy are good. The talent is superior to Dallas. I am stating the obvious. Warriors have the stars and the depth.

Is this just a stunt or are there some legs to this? There is a twitter exchange between mobamba and Mitchell throwning out the idea of both of them going to the knicks. How do you guys feel about that?

Not just for getting Mitchell but also I love Bamba’s upside and don’t think he’s truly tapped his potential yet
