Knicks · NY Post and Berman writing "member's only" articles?!?!?! (page 2)

Just where were all the puff pieces on the Knicks the past several years? I sure as hell didn't see them.

He's writing for a different level of fandom. Anyone here who cited Berman as a source to back up an argument would get laughed off the forum. That's not a knock against him, just a realization that 99.9% of fans aren't writing essays about a pay wall for a beat writer in the offseason.

The insights and arguments advanced here are at a far higher level than what's possible in a newspaper article. For us,the biggest disadvantage is lack of access. We're scientists standing outside of the lab. Interviews and post games are what we're relying on,we all have access to the games and stats now.

Unfortunately that direct access will be off limits for the future. There's just no way Bacon could ever answer all are questions, much less Rose,Thibs, and Randle. I'm not sure the pay wall will work; the ultimate Knicks fan page is better and cheaper. For some boomers though, maybe.

You mean the season prior to last which was some the worst in franchise history.

What kind of puff pieces would be able to right other than the knicks got loads of cap space and can out bid anyone for any player.

Nyk post, NYK Daily News, NYK Times, Newsday, ESPN/Woj, they basically all have similar outlooks on the Knicks.

The national writers primarily get most of there info from beat writers, even the commentators spitting out info during a game that I read in one of the local papers.

Berman has his flaws, but he's no different than any other beat writer in the Tri State

How many other writers were ever writing puff pieces in the middle of Vaseline Starbury? His incessant Starbles cheerleading sort of set him as a breed apart. For all eternity.

Yeah, that was weird to the point that it was creepy.
