I voted for Mo Taylor
Whoever didn't like the Mo Taylor trade -- man up!
I didn't. I was too worried that he'd take minutes from guys Jerome Williams and Vin Baker

You get a Good experience coach, a solid leader/s in the locker room, guys that fit and enjoy their roles, and a balance of youth and VETS and a little bit of continuity...that's a recipe for success
Really?
There was no drama between Shaq and Kobe?
No drama between MJ and Kukoc?
Phil and Jerry Reinsdorf?
Do you have to have an overly simplistic opinion on everything?
Your talking about 3 HOF players on DYNASTY TEAMS that were already winning regardless to anything or anyone in their way with A zen master coach..
You have anymore silly examples.
what I mention isn't as simple as you would like it to sound because we tried like hell for 10 yrs, young coaches, old coaches, wrong draft picks, too young of a roster, to old of a roster, no leadership, toxic culture....this franchise was a soap opera
whats great about 1248's response is its literally an "overly simplistic opinion"
this is a good team. It doesnt appear to have the talent to compete for a title, but it is built to win and it will.
They will defend at a high level.
They have depth on both sides of the ball.
They can weather injuries to the key guys you expect to see some downtime (Rose/Kemba/Mitch)
They have savvy vets and fresh legs.
They have a LOT more scoring firepower than last year. Gone ELF/Frank/Reggie replaced by Kemba/Grimes/Fournier
The big question to me is how good are RJ/Obi/IQ and what kind of step forward do those 3 guys take. You could count Mitch in that group as well but something tells me he's trade chip

I think all of them are trade chips, because if Leon is talking about continuing to be aggressive on the trade front, those 4 guys are the biggest trade chips we have.
I'm somehow feel Randle is almost untouchable

I loved the JYD. Vino Baker was a bum though.

"Somehow" is very simplistic. It implies laziness that one either read that contract implications, read the logic of how Randle came to be franchise player, and that lack of other big money contracts available.
The guy is the epitome of our culture and it would look bad as a franchise to turn around and trade him. Which can't be done anyway anytime soon.
Whats awesome is 1248 states the obvious like he is telling us something he thought up all by himself.
Spoke too soon. Tampering charges incoming

Bum is too harsh. He was no Jackie Butler or Michael Sweetney, but c'mon!

RJ is a core piece. Kemba, Fournier, Rose, IQ, Obi, Grimes, McBride, possibly Mitch would be trade chips. All depending on the target(s). As well as the multiple first & 2nd rounders in the war chest.
Knicks are in a quality position where they don't have to break the bank and can deal from a position of strength and not desperation. Wait it out for the team that lost a lot of leverage. Example Beal has a PO next offseason. By the trade deadline, Wizards may be out of time and leverage if Beal decides he wants out. Trade package of Fournier, IQ, & draft capital may make sense to Wiz at that time.
It may not play out like that. But the point is Knicks don't need to chase, they can wait it out and pounce on teams with low leverage. If not they can fall back on a winning record and high odds of winning in the first round.

I have seen enough from this FO to know whatever trade we make we aren't giving up the farm.

Would we bet the ranch?
But there in lies the question, whats more valuable? The Ranch or the Farm? What kind of farm? Phat Farm? Funny Farm? Tobacco? Weed? Same for the ranch?
