You can tell the media is so bored with these guys. They are all just ready to work without any bells and whistles and problems. There’s no Vaxx drama, no trade concerns, no off the court drama. With all that’s going on with Kyrie, and hearing Beal and Wiggins answers questions about the vaccine being visibly frustrated and putting their teammates and staff in a tough spot having to answer questions in a way that won’t make anyone mad, it’s refreshing that this Knicks team is just boring and puts the team first. No tough questions to answer, no risk of insulting each other. No Ben Simmons type issues. This is the definition of culture change that has been so easily thrown around but rarely is felt. Knicks are the right kind of boring for once.

Isiah Thomas focused too much on potential and not enough on work ethic. Curry and Jerome James had talent but they did not have the mentality to maximize that talent. Our team now has guys like Randle and RJ, who are both 110% committed type players and when your best player and your star high draft pick both do nothing but work hard, then the rest of the team has to follow. Plus, Leon Rose and Perry have acquired all high caliber professional players who are all about the job. Plus, Thibbs is a great coach and he gives credibility to the team. And lastly, Dolan has all but disappeared. It is great having a no drama team. At some point, some controversy is going to happen but I think this team can weather those storms without missing a beat.

It's so refreshing after being a circus for decades. Give me a Spurs-type boring team that just wins.

Your talking about 3 HOF players on DYNASTY TEAMS that were already winning regardless to anything or anyone in their way with A zen master coach..

what I mention isn't as simple as you would like it to sound because we tried like hell for 10 yrs, young coaches, old coaches, wrong draft picks, too young of a roster, to old of a roster, no leadership, toxic culture....this franchise was a soap opera

Look, there is going to be drama whether the team is winning or losing. The issue is whether it is silly media drama just because the media needs a story or whether it is real drama involving the players. I think this team is built to withstand internal drama. We have strong leaders and professionals who won't be complaining publicly during the season. Now as for media drama, the media is already trying to develop the narrative that the team defense is going to fall off due to the loss of Bullock. Given that it is highly likely that there will be some slight defensive slippage due to the team not sneaking up on other teams and the fact that Payton and Bullock are probably better defenders than Kemba and Evan, this will probably be the first "drama" the media tries to ramp up. The next issue will be if Kemba has to miss games. But things like those stories are more media BS than actual team drama. The players will be able to deal with those issues.

Last year Randle was All NBA AND Most improved player of the year!
Thibs, was coach of the year!
Leon Rose was 4th as exec of the year. This for hiring Thibs I guess.
Leon mostly returned the team from the year before.
biggest factor was the emergence of Julius Randle!!!
Most would agree, right ? Trade for DRose was big and signing Noel. But Randle emergence was key. And RJ came on nice.

Yes. Agree with everything you said, except the 1st statement. Drama and NY is like peanut butter and jelly. We are a major market team that hasn't won anything since 1973. The media are like cats waiting on their prey. All it takes is for someone to cough wrong and they will blow that up. Reducing drama, yes. The only cure to remove drama is to move the team to a smaller market area.

Thankfully the drama of the past is gone. We are entering a new culture now, led by Randle and RJ. 2 solid roll models and young leaders.

this is a nice time to be a knick fan. Spike instigated and has some “Blame” in his altercation.
The Oak thing is a shyt show with both parties really handling it bad. Dolan is a dick and Oaks belligerence were a collision course ready to go.

But, Dolan hired some communications guys who after a rough start have found a pace. DOlan hired Leon who is laid back and in addition has delivered as well as could be expected given all he was given. So the past is done and whats in front of us is all their doing. So kudos to “Knicks” and I guess if we do that, Dolan gets some too!
