Yes..I noticed their chemistry on the court looks better, due to their off court relationship. Should be a great season this year amongst other teams that should be just as good. I think we have a chance to surprise Vegas odds....if only I had a bookie....I would bet the over on wins or playoff position.

Knicks looked like a loaded jazz quartet out there. Everyone played in sync and then different guys had a chance to strut their stuff in solos. Don't be surprised if Randle takes a step back in his across the board numbers. This will be a result of fewer minutes, better teammates, but also adjustment in his game as he gets use to playing without Bullock but more importantly Payton. 3 Years and a 150+ games of playing together is a lot of chemistry to undo. Knicks also played at a much higher pace, since Randle likes to slow the game down, it will take some time. The hope is that come playoffs when the pace does slow,Randle will have enough in the tank and players around him to dominate like he did in the regular season last year.

Biggest difference to me was the willingness of the team to shoot 3's. Having 8 guys who can spot up , drive and pass punishes the defense for any miscues.

Don't be surprised if the Knicks get the top seed. Their record will be better than the team.

I think YouTube link functionality is broken?

I think it's an issue with Safari- if I look at these forums on my Mac using safari, YouTube vids don't show, where as they do on Chrome

I think you’re onto something… I’m using Safari on iPad.

I wonder if this problem started with iOS 15.

I can't believe how good they looked last night. That was a beat down. That was without both our rim protectors. We have 3 point shooters and shot creators all over the court. There are very few teams that can match the Knicks man for man. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic but the Knicks looked like a 50 win team easy last night.

We have a core that is continued and a coach that prepares his guys early. Thibs is not “Experimenting” kind of guy. Last night he plyed to win. Was Carlisle? Can’t say what he was looking at.

Thibs did not rest anyone or hold back. No minutes for Knox to “see what he got”.
Can’t speak for the rest of preseason. Caught a bit of the game last night and forgot about the yankees until 4th inning. In time to see them lose.

I did buy some Knick Tickets for december. Been a while since I have seen a game at MSG. Saw a Rangers game in the chase bridge. Very unique.

Yeah. I wasn't even talking about the chemistry part, and that may be there too.

IQ looks like he is making faster decisions and is going downhill more and doing everything at a faster speed.

Obi just looks more confident.

I also like what Duarte was doing, he looks like he belongs.

Fun way to start this season! Obi looked way more fluid and comfortable out there and RJ too with his handle and pulling up from the midrange. Having a dynamic lead guard like Kemba is such a change from what we've had starting the last few years too!

It's super early and no need to overreact but teams are just not gonna be able to crowd Randle like the Hawks did in the playoffs. We got way more weapons and guys who can shoot it.

Yep -- can't see this video on Safari on my Ipad but see it just fine on Firefox on my mac desktop.

Lots to be optimistic about last night. Gonna go put a few thou on the Knicks to win it all! Only question is will Thibs be playing Randle, Kemba, Rose et al 35 plus minutes a night as the preseason wears on? And maybe that's a good thing!

jrodmc @ 10/6/2021 1:14 PM
I'm sorry, but that Rose blasé dish off to RJ for the three made my night!
...a seed in the breeze

Did you think that your feet had been bound
By what gravity brings to the ground?
Did you feel Obi was tricked
By the future he picked?
Well, come on down

All these rules don't apply
When Kemba's high in the sky
So come on down
Come on down

Jules is grinding them down to the ground
Rose's got no better place to go
We've got Taj up on the mountains
We've got these yoots down below
We're grinding them down to the ground
To see RJ ring in the threes
And the land will be looked after
We send the seeds out in the breeze

thank you, Peter Gabriel

Clean @ 10/6/2021 4:18 PM

This is why even though our defense will take a step back. The additions of Fornier and Kemba will have our team functioning better overall due to the new spacing.

Yeah you may be right. Thibs coached the game like it was a regular season game, Carlisle might not of coached to win. The offense was very encouraging.

gradyandrew @ 10/6/2021 8:02 PM
Carlisle looks like a rational and unsmiling Jim Carrey. I keep hoping he unleashes a "Well All righty then" the next time he loses a coaches challenge.
