From my personal experience as someone who does somethings righty and somethings lefty I think there may be some truth to this. I eat and write left handed and most athletic activities right handed. I shoot right handed but my shot looks more natural and "pretty" when I shoot it lefty.

It is not something that he can change this summer at this point, but he really should look into it for next summer. A summer of 800 shoots a day right-handed might be just what he needs. I always say you should shoot with the hand you write with.

I think he’s coming back to sixers
His best bet is being very humble no problems and give 110%

He is coming back because he and Rich Paul came to the realization that Philly was not going to budge and he was going to lose $360k per game. So apparently there is some number for which he can swallow his pride. He blew this whole thing out of portion due to hurt feelings when he could have just used it as motivation to improve his shooting confidence and prove the doubters wrong. Now the interesting thing to see is whether he is just coming back to stop being fined and will immediately try to fake an injury. I would hope he would just take the attitude that he will play hard for the team until Philly tells him he is not part of the team, but who knows. This saga is not over, and it still could get real ugly.

Nalod @ 10/12/2021 2:00 PM
We can all guess. Seems Simmons played his hand and sixers call it. Perhaps the issue is Simmons comes to play and then a trade gets done perhaps in December when contracts can be moved more freely. some teams like Sac and Minny want to see how their current roster starts and then can better assess its team and potential moves.
Simmons will get booed in PHilly but Embiid and others can soften it with public support. At the end of the day the players are really not injured with him out. Ebiid understands well enough whats at stake and the better philly can trade him in return the better he and the team is.

He should've been shooting a 1,000 shot a day as soon as Philly was out of the playoffs. Heck...he should've been doing this the past 3 years.

He was clearly pandered to as an amateur player, as nobody seemed to be concerned that he couldn't shoot, as long as he could used his physical superiority to overwhelm lesser athletes.

With a jump shot, even just an average or slightly above average one, he could be a generational talent, but so far, it seems he hasn't put in the work.

Look at the jump RJ made from year 1 to year 2...He was a 3 pt liability as a rookie, but shot 40% last year, and seems to have maintained his touch this year.

LeBron also worked on his shooting every year, knowing it was a weakness had to fix.

Whether he is a righty or lefty, it appears he hasn't done enough to address his shooting shortcoming, and now he is facing that fact.

Ben Simmons got kicked out of practice today and suspended for one game for conduct detrimental to the team. It’s nice to not have any drama going on with the Knicks for a change. The 76ers situation is only going to get uglier. I think eventually the Sixers are going to be forced to just pay him to stay away, like we did Marbury.
ESOMKnicks @ 10/19/2021 4:27 PM
When are they going to do the Simmons for Kyrie swap already?

I actually wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t play a game at all this season unless the Suxers take a massive risk and trade him to the Nuts for Irving. At least Irving has a shorter contract. This wouldn’t necessarily make the Nets better either. Whoever is guarding Simmons can collapse in favor of KD or Harden penetrating while keeping an eye out on Ben.

As far as I can see though, this is the only trade for either player. I would be very surprised if either team got someone like Beal or Lillard. There is no way that happens like how ESPN lightly suggested today.

Apparently Ben isn't vaccinated either. Nets would have to deal with the same issues they have with Kyrie with Simmons.

Vax or not.....Nobody has the same issues as Kyrie. Just saying!

Not sure Ben is anti-vax. I think he's just doing everything in his power to get out.

The Simmons-76ers situation currently looks ugly on both sides. 76er forcing him to return, simmons only has his eyes on the money. Simmons staying with the team will eat away whatever team chemistry they have build over the summer . It will only get messier after the suspension.

Just a curious thought, if the knicks can trade for Simmons on cheap( ridiculously cheap) like Knox and second rounders package only, will you do it? Aside from his mental outlook now the other weakness simmons has is his 3pt shooting. I have this crazy hunch that the knicks might be able to at the very least improve his shooting. I dont think the knicks improved outside shooting the past season is a fluke. The knicks are 1 of the teams that installed a shooting system in their training facility and its being put to good use. Can Simmons benefit from that system paired with the work ethic of Randle and the other young guns?

Well, it certainly isn't ideal for he Sixers. But let's not play the false equivalency game here.

Sixers have done nothing wrong.

Pointless. They can't.

Not only would Philly never do it, the Knicks couldn't even if Philly was willing.

Knicks would have to match his $35m salary, which at this moment in time, they can't do.

CBA rules literally prevent the Knicks from trading for Simmons right now, unless you're down with including Randle?

So True .. The thought of Ben Simmons leadership & D.Rose leadership giving Randle the boost to become an All-Star consecutively

franco12 @ 10/19/2021 11:14 PM
wish they could trade him to atlanta or milwaukee - just trying to sow dissension on our key opponents.

I don't want him to go to miami, those folks would straighten his head out and he would become a monster!

Nalod @ 10/20/2021 8:28 AM
Simmons is using the playbook to force his hand to a trade. He is being a dick. Its likely deliberate to disrupt.
Morey is playing the game and its who flinches first. MOrey, simmons or the GM who who is reluctant to trade their best player for Simmons.

1. Role players and Picks don’t get your there. Bench mark of a good trade is “who got the best player”. Unless your rebuilding. PHilly was the top seed in the east. For all the dysfunction, Simmons is an all star.

2. KP had an ACL, hip, and back issues by age 23. We used the cap space to sign Randle. It turned out we did just fine!

3. It will take. 5 years to know if Rockets did well to trade Harden. They rebuilt.

4. Knicks don’t have an organic trade for Simmons. Could be a three way but I don’t see it.

Sixers will have to realize they aren’t getting 4 draft picks for him eventually. I don’t think they were getting that haul before his meltdown. The man’s game has deficiencies that are real.

Acknowledged he is among the best defenders in the league, but that’s traditionally an undervalued skill. Can’t overpay for it.

I think the Sixers would be best off making the best trade they can find and moving on. But, hopefully they let this drama persist and it can be a sideshow that affects their W-L.

So it's the Sixers lack of a work ethic that hasn't allowed poor Benjy to develop a jump shot of any kind, let alone a 3 pointer. Check.
And I'm sure "plane to the gym" is going to be incredibly well-recieved by some oversensitive douche who can't manage to run defensive drills when asked.

Thank God we have the FO we do. Thibs living out his dad's dream. Kemba living out the dream come true.

Simmons a walking nightmare.

Supposedly he’s not vaccinated just to be a pain in the ass to Philly so they trade him a lot quicker…. And then if he goes to Brooklyn, he’ll get the vaccine. Dick move? Yes True story? Don’t know but I wouldn’t be surprised.
