after discovering Enes Kanter tweet in support of a free Tibet. Celts games will no longer be shown.
Ol' Enes is pretty slow-footed, but after his comments here about Turkish leadership and now this, I have to give him respect for having a set.

Is it the reason Enes didn't play?
Wait til China finds out we didn’t resign Lin
Lets see what the NBA does to punish Kanter.

LOL - Almost spit my tea out with that one!
But seriously, I think it is great that players speak their mind. Do it in a good way and be respectful but if there is forced labor, things akin to concentration camps, etc. going on, then this should be front and center.
A whole lot of money is going to the NBA from China. Sensitive topic, but I'll put morals before money every time.
I'd be willing to sacrifice (just like we do for the environment) to know we are helping our brothers in China (or elsewhere) have a better life.
It will result in less income for players and the NBA, but cheaper ticket prices for us, maybe?
This headline is wrong. The game was never available. I spent all morning trying to watch it. I guess if I could pick one franchise to not watch,it would be the Celtics. If both Philly and Boston games are blacklisted,it makes the playoff matchups super dicey on my end.
The link to YardBarker in the OP has, in turn, a link to the original report in the Washington Post, of which the third sentence says:
The Chinese video-streaming giant Tencent cut the live broadcast of Wednesday’s National Basketball Association game between the Celtics and the New York Knicks.
Admittedly, the WaPo gets things wrong.

Give Kanter credit, he has no problem pissing off asswipe dictators
Unlike Jon Cena. What that guy did - holy cow

Lin's family is originally from Taiwan, which is regarded by mainland China as its integral part, but temporarily occupied by a malicious imperialist puppet junta. So, expect a full Knicks schedule on PRC's main TV channels.
Kanter is the man, and forced labor is a grave problem, but I keep asking myself how many things that I use daily are actually a product of forced labor. Scary to think how high the percentage probably is. Until consumers wake up and demand manufacturers to show clear provenance of the goods they sell, forced labor in various sorts of gulags will continue.

In Lin’s day the Chinese had zero problem claiming him as one of their countrymen
