Thats simply not true. Go look at his 36 min stats he has a lot of potential as a dfender
Looking at Obi's per 100 on basketball reference, he as good as randle on defense.
I know, I know - stats vs. the actual eye test, sample size - I get all that.
But everyone on this thread saying but you can't play toppin still haven't addressed where or how we're going to improve a team that looks worse than it's record and could be and doesn't get easy points unless we're on a roll from outside shooting threes at over 50% which is not sustainable.
Toppin and Mitch can get you dunks either in transition or the half court.
We seem to struggle with creating good looks for them.
Hes got much more offensive versatility than Mitch--not close. Mitch looks real slow right now too.
I know Mitch is coming off an injury and put on weight (some muscle), but I'm wondering if he is dealing with an undiagnosed medical issue that might explain how much he has slowed down from when he first came into the league.

The move was to do that at the end of last season to try to move up in the draft. Even though I support your idea, think that ship has sailed until his contract is up.
Not necessarily. Randle’s contract is not that bad. 4 years $117 million is not a horrendous contract by today’s standards. Randle has never had significant injury issues unlike Porzinigis or Kemba Walker

Seems like Randle is the new melo around here.
He looks exactly look Melo right now with his ball stopping ISO stuff on every possession shooting fade away jumpers. But without Melo’s quickness and incredible shot making ability

Don't forget the horrible turnovers as he is attacked by blind side double teams he should know are coming because, film!
