Knicks · I can’t believe we have 3 double digit losses at home first ten (page 1)

I’ll be honest I really thought we were better. It’s really upsetting

If we go under .5 at bay point. I’m gonna post this to main links

we're not as bad as we looked, nor are we as good as we've looked.

I thought we got some better play out of IQ tonight and it was great to see Grimes contribute as well as Obi.

Seemed like we played well when we went small.

45 win team fellas

I said 43 and I'm worried we might not get there.

Seeds 4-10 in the East will be closely clustered. 43-45 wins is probably good enough for the 5th or 6th seed

Losing 3 games at home by double digits in the first ten is awful. I don’t know analytics but it’s got to be off the charts bad. Lucky to be 6-4 but right now there is something wrong

The advanced analytics of the final score is your guide. If there is something wrong, and you admitted you don’t know, why not start a few new threads and take guesses at it?
Also, why assume “something is wrong” as if this team is a proven entity? Its not. 5-1 does not set the trajectory unless one got hyped about preseason and the early start. Only knick fans had this team pegged with 50 or more wins.

Funny how we beat the Wiz twice in preseason and they are impressive thus far. Some pundits were impressed by their depth. Not us. Wes Jr is doing a good job thus far.

Clev comes in winning three in a row and its ignored by some of you?

its true... there are very few charts properly outlining how bad most 6-4 teams are

Last year we started off losing 3 of our 1st 5 home games by 10+.

What's your point?

The point is Thibs is hack that needs to give Obi and Grimes 20 mins a game

If I said we’re gonna lose to the raptors cavs and magic by double digits at home in the first month —- you wouod say not possible. We have expectations as a playoff team to perform much better. We already have Derrick Rose — we won’t be getting another 37 games in.

I don't know Briggs- we are lucky to have our record. We could easily have 2 wins or 0 with the way we have played for long stretches.

We were lucky to win tonight - in fact I left the TV, fully expecting we'd cave to a shorthanded Sixer team.

I don't see a team that can get out of the first round- in fact, we might not make it to the play offs - lots of teams that were below us in the standings have significantly improved and will be challenging to us as the season goes on.

And we've been healthy.

What is our record if we lose D Rose for 10 games? 1 & 9?

3 double digit loses at home and 2-3 at home overall? Yes.

But before the season started?

Could you believe that we'd be 5-1 on the road?

With wins @ Orlando, @ Chicago, @ New Orleans, @ Milwaukee and @ Philadelphia?

7-4 overall all while a team like Atlanta who's supposed to be 2x better than us is struggling at only 4-7.

And our two home wins vs. Boston to start off the season in double overtime and Philadelphia with Joel Embiid were pretty awesome too.

Yes. 4 stinkers vs. Orlando, vs. Toronto, @ Indiana and vs. Cleveland

But overall 7 wins against Boston, Orlando, Chicago, New Orleans, Milwaukee and 76ers (x2)? I like it.

And we're off to a much better 11 game start than last year too.

Two games in the loss column separate the current top seed in the East Philly (whom we beat last night and twice now) from the Raptors in the eighth spot. Not included in that are the Bucks, Hawks, Celtics, Hornets, and Pacers. Nets, Hawks, and Heat all lost by double digits last night (granted on the road). Welcome to the NBA kids. And welcome to the Eastern Conference 2022. For now it looks like a hell of a lot of parity and a dogfight ahead. By all means focus on Obi's minutes and Grimes not getting burn and NBA players having great nights against us. And how much you hate ____ (still to be determined). But it is also possible to embrace the reality and enjoy our first fun competitive team in eons. Simultaneously you know.

Make that 4 double digit losses in the first 12 at home
jrodmc @ 11/12/2021 1:00 PM
You need to start a new thread with each one of these double digit home losses...

Maybe it has something to do with martin's selection of Rebecca outfits in the game threads? That last dress was truly hideous.

Knixkik @ 11/20/2021 7:03 PM
So far this year we play good against good teams and bad against bad teams.
