I see a nice career overseas for this guy, but I think the Knicks could do better with their second round pick.
martin @ 4/25/2022 2:31 PM
Thanks for this. I am shocked Ousmane Dieng jumped so high but I also have no clue on him.

I would be juiced to get either Dyson Daniels or Bennedict Mathurin. Those 2 and Sochan are my top guys for the Knicks.

I've heard a couple of draft podcasts that think Daniels doesn't go past Washington. He fits in with their international vibe and he presumably fills a position of need. I don't know where Dieng should go, but I can see the OKC fit. He matches their MO of taking guys who are lengthy and raw.

KnickDanger @ 4/25/2022 4:06 PM
Is Daniels the wild card in this draft? I'd be good with the Knicks taking him. Eason, maybe Tyty. Blake Wesley anyone?

I assume the Knicks want a "Thibs" player (defense) which works for me. And probably best player available. And do they see Tyty or Eason as potentially better than IQ and Cam, say? Maybe Daniels cuts that mustard. If not, then including the pick in trades for players or future assets seems very possible.

I'm surprised they have Sochon over Eason. Its a preliminary mock, so whatever. I think Hardy is the wildcard in this draft. I've seen him mocked from the lottery to the second-round. Shaedon Sharpe also changes the dynamic off the top 5. If Sharpe does go #1, and it's a possibility, it impacts Davis, Mathurin and Daniels. Maybe a team who needs a SG reaches a bit and takes one of those guys causing a domino effect?

TPercy @ 4/25/2022 4:28 PM
ESPN really low on Mathurin wow. I hope it stays this way for other teams so we can nab him
KnickDanger @ 4/25/2022 4:31 PM
One things for sure is these players will be trading places in the coming weeks.
TPercy @ 4/25/2022 6:38 PM
Still think best plan is trading RJ for Ivey. It would pain me to see him go but Ivey got #1 option potential in the way RJ dosent and we really need a #1. Then again there is Sharpe..

This to me is crazy he looks like a shaq out there. Who in the nba can stop him in the post, he’s a big dude with good low block post moves. there’s a place in the nba for a guy like cockburn and weather he gets drafted or not he’ll be a steal ! Hopefully the Knicks jump on him.

Yeah, this league has undergone a shift. Guys like EJ Liddell and Roddy would probably be undrafted free agents 10 years ago. Now they're the next Draymond. Things go in cycles.

Nah. And I like Ivey

BigDaddyG @ 4/26/2022 11:45 PM
Nice potential grab in the second-round. More scorer than shooter, but can really manipulate a PnR.
TPercy @ 4/27/2022 12:39 PM
If Mathurin and Davis are off the board, I’m leaning towards this guy over Daniels. At this stage he’s just a defender with decent ball handling for his size but there’s just certain PnR manipulation skills he has that you just can’t teach. If this guy continues to get consistent with his shot then league will have a big problem.

Sharpe has the potential to be the best player in this draft. I like Hardy, a lot. I mentioned him earlier in the year/in this thread.

Don't sleep on this kid....He's an explosive scorer and is an improving playmaker...

TPercy @ 4/27/2022 12:46 PM
Also Diengs self creation upside is noticeably higher than Daniels tho Daniels is the better defensive prospect

Yeah I used to follow this guy early in season given he was like a top 5 recruit. Had disappointing season but the talent is there. You’d have to trade down to pick him though.

He lost a lot of luster after the championship game. But the upside is there and big wings are en vogue.
