oh, I see - and Fournier missing open 3's against the same group. Rose missing 3s, Randle missing 3s- I guess they just made the basket bigger for Grimes. And he played with energy, I guess.

Awful game to attend, awful game to watch, awful everything. This was one of the worst defensive efforts I've ever seen from a Thibs coached team. Denver did whatever they wanted. You can live with Jokic getting his but to allow some bum named Nnaji to hit five threes and the rest to hit seventeen threes is just inexcusable. It starts with defense but before that it starts with leadership from the HC and the vets getting the team ready to play and we came out sleepwalking as if we were out partying until 3am. Right now we are not seeing the effort and willingness to win that we saw last season. I refuse to believe that can all change with the departure of guys like Elfrid Payton and Reggie Bullock. Technically right now it's the same damn team as last season except for Fournier instead of Bullock. Even Thibs hinted at it in the post game calling out RJ for not working as hard as last season on his shooting when he would spend every night at the gym getting shots up. I get the feeling the same thing has happened to the rest of the team, including Randle. This is frustrating to watch. I hate being under .500! The last time we had an eight year drought! I never want to experience that again!
Obi was +2 in this fiasco. I’m gonna focus on that.
And if that doesn’t seem incredible enough… Grimes was +9!
Mitch scored 4 points. That’s .57 points per foot. Egregious.

You may need to watch the game again. Starters were fine in the first. Stayed within 6. The second unit came in and the lead went to 13, Starters went and finished half and got back under 10. Third-quarter we were down by 6 with the starters. Thibs then decides to put in IQ, Toppin, Burks, Noel and it turned into a blowout. Think having Burks in the whole first quarter is not a good plan. He just does not have the same spark later in the game. IQ minus 18 in 20 minutes and Noel minus 24 in 19 minutes. As mentioned in the other game thread, Burks not being the second unit has hurt the second unit. Going to a 9 man rotation has also not worked, Thibs knows best
