You may need to watch the game again. Starters were fine in the first. Stayed within 6. The second unit came in and the lead went to 13, Starters went and finished half and got back under 10. Third-quarter we were down by 6 with the starters. Thibs then decides to put in IQ, Toppin, Burks, Noel and it turned into a blowout. Think having Burks in the whole first quarter is not a good plan. He just does not have the same spark later in the game. IQ minus 18 in 20 minutes and Noel minus 24 in 19 minutes. As mentioned in the other game thread, Burks not being the second unit has hurt the second unit. Going to a 9 man rotation has also not worked, Thibs knows best

Mitch scored 4 points. That’s .57 points per foot. Egregious.
Do you mean the guys that went in for garbage time?

The 3pt shooter could not be more side open. Look at the second shot. Where the shooter caught the ball there was no reason to try and go under the screen. There was plenty of room to go over and the shooter was not turning the corner. So why did Randle decide to go under? Yea, this team is trash and Randle got his money so he no longer cares about defense. He just wants to dominate the offense so he can get his stats and feel good when he looks at the stat sheet.
Randle's defensive rotations have been terrible this year...
Yes...I think I've seen enough of Randle. On balance there is more bad then good!
Maybe it's his way of saying Obi needs more minutes
Seriously, I've seen quite a few low energy plays like this Randle. Maybe the kid is keeping him up all night.

Whole team was trash, starters and bench, nobody is off the hook. We have up 20 3s on 47% shooting. And over 50% overall. Even Randles numbers were deceiving because he was terrible on defensive rotations. He is solely responsible for a handful of open 3s and drives in the lane.
Curious to see how Thibs adjusts....

He looks like a player that got the bag, and got his allstar cherry popped. Now he's chasing numbers and giving half ass efforts on D.

That was the point. When a team is down by 30 NO ONE is "Off the hook" Point was that if you are going to accurately describe today's loss the second unit contributed to the biggest deficit. Burks needs to be in the second unit. The second unit is not the same with him as a starter.
The adjustment is to get a floor general. Sorry but IQ, Rose, and Burks do not cut it. Secondly, guys need to make shots from three. And you are right, defense has not been the same. The Nuggets exposed that weakness easily. As good teams do. Is it Randle's fault? Think that is just an easy scapegoat. Defense is a TEAM concept. Especially rotation. We have just not been
very good all year. NO MATTER WHO is in there.
So how is Kemba’s plus/minus looking during this 1-3 stretch?

We got scammed.
It's the fact he does this a lot these days, but still has the cheek to say they need to play with more effort after the game- what a joke! His team mates probably laugh when they see/hear him.
You can tell which coach told their players that’s it’s a day game, so don’t stay out late. That’s all I got to say about this one.
