Turner would be a pretty big improvement because he moves better side/side. He also has better timing on his blocks but I watch his box scores pretty regularly and he can put some pretty EMPTY box scores out there.
Price for Turner would depend.
If it were Mitch/Knox for Turner I’d probably do it but even Knox is a guy we’ve just buried at such a young age (frustrating).
The pacers will want the farm for Turner. That means RJ, IQ, Obi and picks and probably more
F that

Noel is ELITE at 2 things — hedging/poking on the high pick/roll and at defending drives right at the rim.
Outside of the above 2 things he is a BRUTAL basketball player who completely impairs all other basketball operations. LOL
Disagree. He’s a good rim protector defensive specialist Center. His ceiling on D is not as high as a healthy Mitch but he’s a better offensive player than Mitch and it’s not really even close. Mitch can’t put the ball in the ocean, Noel has shown the ability to hit jump shots — reminds a little of Oakley’s last couple seasons here when he developed a shot and was hitting them wide open from 7-8 feet out because teams weren’t respecting him

Obviously that’s not happening. It would have to be a package built around picks for it to make sense for the Knicks. Most who have brought up the Turner option on the internet think Mitch/Noel and a couple of picks would do the trick. It’s definitely not all of our young talent.
I go back to GS for Kuminga and Wiseman for Randle, Mitch, Knox and a 1st rounder. To me - it's looking like either Randle or RJ and I go with the younger player. Plus we can speed up ball movement, watch Toppin run sprints and acquire a young C and SF with high potential. GS would probably consider because they're all in for this season and Randle would be an ideal addition as he has some size, can shoot outside and will probably perform well as the 2nd or 3rd offensive option for them (less pressure).

Trying to think about it from GS's perspective and who they would want. Randle is sticky with the ball but is that more exactly who he is or more the composition of the Knicks roster makeup?
I'd guess GS would want Randle, Burks, IQ, Obi and that would be the starting point.

I'm guessing two of RJ, IQ and Obi and one this year's rookies would be the starting point. I don't think Randle, from a contract perspective, would not be desirable for a team drowning in luxury tax.
I wouldn't pull the trigger if RJ, Toppin and/or IQ would have to go (maybe 1 of them). No sense trading for Wiseman if we keep Mitch and Noel (don't need 3 centers) and the idea of Toppin playing more was part of the reasoning for offering Randle. I do the W's would be interested in Randle as they value vets more than younger players. Live in Bay area and they seem to have never been high on Wiseman due to his inexperience. I do hear you and understand the price may be too high.

Is this another one of your needed tough moves? How did Burks work out in SL?
Our problem is that we can't cover the 3pt stripe and wings can't hit threes:
Burks 44%, Kemba 41.3, EF 39.4, Rose 39.2, IQ 35.5, RJ 31, Top 18. but you want to get rid of Mitch? Makes sense.
We have A LOT of things that will be fixed if we just start hitting shots. Biggest issue inbtermnof personnel is that we need to have a PG to get guys shots in the right spots.

Dude we could have John Stockton and CP3 on this team and Randle would still be our main ball handler.
When I watch GSW and The suns play, the don't hold the ball, they pass the spread out and make the extra pass on every possession.
GSW leads the league in assist (29) with a scoring PG who averages less then 7 assist in curry
The move the ball, spread the floor, and play fast..

Our ball movement is better when Randle isn’t playing. Just sayin

The bold is so true. I used to think that Randle could be a good 3rd or maybe 2nd option but I no longer think that. He forces himself as the main option on offense too much. You got PGs who want to push the ball? He will wave them off and walk the ball up only to turn it over. Randle will go stretches near the beginning of the game where the ball does not stick with him. However, the deeper into the game we go the more likely the ball will stick once he touches it and he is way to inefficient to be the focal point of an offense. If he was Jokic would I hate ISO's as much? Probably not. I consider Jokic to be a new age PG with how amazing his passing and vision is.

The equilibrium of chemistry from last year is gone. Last year Robinson was never part of that chemistry. We had Noel as a defensive player of the year type. The problem is we gave Noel 13mm and we need one player from the 5 who can do more than rim protect--a semblance of an offensive game. Jericho Sims can do what Robinson does for 1/10 the price--we dont need Robinson. Actually we could use Bobby Portis again.

Burks, Rj, Fournier, Obi, they all play ISO ball way too much, they missed open players on fast breaks, on penetration.
Almost every player on the GSW/SUNS can catch, shoot, pass, and trust each other..
Last season bullock and RJ were solid in that catch, shoot, pass, department,
This season Rj's man is lagging off him enough to take a swipe at the ball in randles hand, so is the man guarding mitch, and so is the guy guarding Fournier.
these guys can't even cut to the basket because the center is there clogging the lane causing a cluster fck ..
Stop just focusing on Randle when there's 5 moving parts that aren't working as a unit or playing together consistently.
RJ bricking shots is a very bad thing
Mitch is an UFA this summer...A decision needs to be made either way. Not sure how much he will command on the open market but wouldn't be surprised if he's shopped at the deadline.

Right now, I'd guess $7-9M per. His stock is dropping. He can still turn it around. But if Sims does continue to improve, it may not make sense to bring him back. Depending on Noel for an entire season is a scary prospect though.
lock up Mitch long term if we can’t get a guy like Turner
