Noel is not healthy.
Kemba was a step down from Elfrid.
Bullock is 10x better than Fournier. I don’t care what his #’s are in Dallas.
Mitch is out of shape.
Randle stopped improving in the playoffs.
Rowan lost his mojo.
Thibs is an idiot.

What a disappointing season. It’s my own fault for once in the last twenty years I set my expectation level to high and it stinks. I’d rather be 15-67 than win 37-38 games and pick 13
We need a radical change in what the direction is— this is backwards. Falling into the class of bot scking but not terrible might be the absolute worst in nba

people here were slamming me for saying we should have kept Mike Miller. Sure, Thibs got us to over acheive - we got lucky last year- but now other teams got way better, and we just don't have enough talent.

The NBA is pretty much unique among team sports where if you have the best player, you win.

We have a deep team, but none of the players we are marching out are actually better than their opponents. all of them have some kind of flaw.

Imagine if we could take Kevin Knox and give him Obi's motor?

And that is another thing- our drafts from the past sucked. Who exactly is contributing to our team right now- all just basically got here- Obi, IQ, Rj. Maybe you include Mitch a little.

Go back to when we hired Thibs- instead, play out hiring Mike Miller, playing the young guys.

We maybe get DSjr and Frank to develop into role players. This draft, we pick up Chris Duarte.

This year we're a bit better than last year- no Kemba or EF weighing down the cap.

God, maybe we make a trade in the summer to help teams create cap space- maybe we can snare a talent like Kuzma in exchange for Randle from a team that is in win now mode.

Instead, we go all in, win now with Thibs. First round embarrassment last year- and this year a step back, maybe we're at the 10 spot and playing in for a chance to get wiped in the first round.

I do give the FO props for finding talent later in the draft.

But we still need a transformational franchise talent. The last player we had that I think you could use that term- probably Patrick Ewing- certainly as far as drafting him.

This franchise is cursed with an owner who wants instant results and has presided over the worst record in modern sports ownership.

They didn't have to force it last off-season. They could of waited 1 more year. Basically we had one okay season and we have to hit the reset button again. The only thing that saves this team is if a superstar says he will only play here. So yeah we are doomed. Fournier was a really bad signing. Can we please stop taking player advice from Scott Perry.

Hard to predict when guys like Kemba and Fournier just fall apart in a Knick uniform. If the losing continues I’d like to see the Knicks fully commit to giving IQ and Obi an extended run in the starting lineup. Something like Obi, Randle, Barrett, Quickley and trade for Covington when the Blazers blow it up to surround this team with a defensive glue piece. Knicks need to see if there’s a future around this group. Let Rose, Burks and Fournier light up other teams benches. I still believe there’s a formula within this group that may not be a good playoff team, but show enough of a future where it’s worth buying. The core of this team is really Randle, Barrett, IQ and Toppin and at some point they need to be treated as such.

Last year was a fluke. No real away games because no fans, other teams gassed because of the stupid bubble tournament, covid everywhere — this team is no better or worse than last year
